Who believes they are Righteous?

My dictionary says morally upright, just.

So I would say yes, I pretty much am.

I can't speak for the sheep, but I have no reason to believe she's not.

We are righteous, not of our own will, but because God has made us righteous through his son Jesus Christ - besides, sinners cannot enter heaven because they are not righteous, and that is why God made us righteous, so that we could be with him as we once were.

The Calling of Matthew 9:12

On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

None of us are righteous. We are all sinners and we are the ones that God is calling.

I am not, nor is anyone else righteous ..... And we will not be until our Lord returns, and we are perfected before Him..... He will make us perfect after we die and He returns. Until then we are all pond scum.

Some of you need to get on blueletterbible.com and do a word search on righteous before you make post. There are 248 versus in the Niv containing the wordrighteous. And it also talks of many other righteous men besides Jesus!In Matthew 9:12 he is talking with the pharisees who are Self Righteous hypocrits. We are made righteous by the Blood of Jesus.

Rom5:19

For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

1Pe3:12

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."*

I may have to read Matthew again, but weren't the 12 apostles made righteous? Of course, Jesus made them righteous because he was the only one that could do that. When they spoke to spread the word, they were not speaking as men. God was speaking through them and that is what made them righteous.
