Died To Self
"A man asked George Muller the secret of his service, he replied: "There was a day when i died," and as he spoke he bent lower, until he almost reached the floor..continuing he added,Died to George Muller, his opinions,preferences, tastes, and will.. died to the world, it's approval or censure, died to the approval or blame even of my brethren or friends. and since i have studied only to show myself approved unto God."
as i read this i thiought what a humbling statement..it is something that many, if not all of us, should take to heart and put to practice in our lives.. .too many i believe are trying to show themselves approved unto others when our efforts should be to be more Christ like..
