Default Sunday Sermonette

Can yo believe it's June already. boy time really flies when you are having fun.: we have a lot of people in need of prayer so please ask God to intevene in their lives and may His perfect will be done..in Jesus name we pray..amen
6Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
7And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
8And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
9Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.
10And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
11Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.
Acts 1:6-11 KJV.Here at his time Jesus is getting ready to leave earth and return to heaven, but the disciples have only one question. Will the one thousand year kingdom be established now?Jesus knew the thoughts and the anxiety about the Kingdom.. they might not have remembered all that He taught but they did remember that He told them they would be rulers.looks like all they wanted was power like so many around us today..they didn't understsnd that the Kingdom of God was within the heart..They had been looking for their King since John the Baptist announced it and that's why they asked Jesus"Lord wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom of Isael? if you will notice Jesus did not jump all over them and accuse them of ignorance and He didn't tell them they were all misaken.. let me stop right here and say we need to learn a valuable lesson fom this..we don' know it all, we are not expeced o know every detail that's why we read and study and praay over the Word of God..Jesus said here in verse 7,"It is not for you to know." so don't feel bad if you someimes get confused and don't undersand' Yet they also forgot that to be the greatest within the kingdom of God, they would have become a servant to all. Jesus wants us to reach out to the world around us. Starting within our families and neighborhoods which can be the hardest areas to reach because they know us so well.here is something else we need to heed..when was the last time you winessed to someone? have yoi ever went out of you way to talk o someone about Jesus? well He tell us to start at home and then yessir, once you are born again and the Holy Spirit lives wihin you, you have power. we need to get out of our comfort zone and go after the lost.. We are to continue our ministries into the byways and highways of life that take us all over and we are to be His wtness until either we leave earth to be with Him or He returns to take His rightful place amongst His Creation. Jesus had told his followers that He woild return to the Father..and as they were standing there looking at him, a cloud recevied out of their sight..what an amazing thing that was to the disciples..but remember the two men dressed in white standing with them said,"Why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus will come back in like manner as we have seen him go..PRAISE THE LORD!!We need to only be concerned about what God has for us and He will watch over and provide for us regardless of what is going on around us. Lean upon the Rock who will take care of you and lead you down that path that will make you complete in Him!
Father we than you again for youe precious Word and may it be a blessing to all..and Fahe if there is one here lost and on their way to hell, may this be their day of feedom.. thank you again in Jesus name Amen
