I have been writing poems on and off for sometime. Thought I would share acouple of them with you. Hope they bless you. Ray


Given

I walk through the wilderness lost in my way
Falling to temptation day today
Living my life in this world is like being enslaved
ThenIremember you resisted 40 days
You were driven by Gods will in you was no fault
You are my strong tower my solid rock
Upon youI shall stand and I may fall
But upon my knees your blood covers it all
You take away darkness and replace it with light
You heal the sick and restore the blinds sight
Ask and it shall be given,seek and ye shall find
Knock and the door will be opened at the perfect time
Your love is immeasurable for the world you died
I will live by your word for the gates arenot wide
When you come back no rock shall be unturned
With your two edged sword the wicked will burn
Then that day at a place faraway
A book will be opened an my name you will say
I will fall down before and give you much praise
Thank you good shepherd for showing me the way
AsI walk along the crystal sea& upon the streets of gold
I pass four men their names will be told
Matthew,Mark, Luke and John
Glorious life after death their story goes on
I walk a little farther feeling no rage or strife
I see a beautiful tree the tree of life
There is no darkness, death or fear
Up in the distance a radiant light appears
A great multitude is gathered millionsI see
All dressedin white just like me
Up aheadI see 25 thrones, God the Father and Jesus the son
My reward has been given life has begun

I feel your presence
I know you are here
I hear the knocking
The calling is clear

Take away the doubt
Take away the fear
Put words in my mouth
For your sheep to hear

Bless me with wisdom
Bless me with grace
Bless me with your Spirit
I seek your face

Lay your hand upon me
And fill me with power
I want to bear good fruit
For the final hour

What you have given me
I freely give
Place people in my path
So they may live

All glory to you
The one on high
Your name is power

Forgiven

For the time has come
yesthe end is near
when we shall part
as friends from here

Having grown in heart
and mind and soul
until the end of life
our very role

We did touch each other
without embrace
affecting all lives
in this human race

Never black nor white
no color involved
just the bonding of Christ
which cannot be dissolved

We are brothers and sisters
the masses as one
who were granted their lives
through the life of Gods Son

So unite in His love
and have faith in His Word
For there's never an end
We will forever be heard.

Thanks for sharing guys, hey I do a few retreats a year would you mind if I printed these and used them. I just had our Golden Girls retreat but we have one coming in the fall and we are going to do a study on some of the names of God so that El Shaddai would be perfect for that.
