I had to do some research before I could expand on it more clearly, but here is the answer to your question last night.
There is only one trinity. Those that believe otherwise would not refer to
God as The Trinity.
The easiest way I can explain the Trinity is that God chose to reveal
himself as 3 in one. God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit.
If you look at Genesis Chapter 1:26 you see that God says, "Let us make man
in our image, after our likeness". Who is God the Father talking to when He
says "us" and "our" ? Not himself. But not another God either since there is
no other God but our God.
The Old Testament is abundantly clear that "God is one". Several times a day
Jews would repeat a saying reminding themselves of this.
Yet God chose to reveal Himself as 3 different persons in one. Thus the term
Trinity is used to describe this mystery. Tri-unity or 3 in 1. The term is
not found in the Bible. But it is taught by the Bible.
Jesus is Clearly God. John 1:1-14.
The Holy Spirit is clearly God, Acts 5:3-4
The Father is clearly God.
They are all one God and yet they have fellowship one with the other. The
Son Prays to the Father. The Son sends the Holy Spirit. The Father knows the
day of the Son's return. The Holy Spirit is not the Father. Jesus in not The
Holy Spirit. The Father is not Jesus. But they all are the one Godhead.
By no means am I saying that this is easy to understand. Over the last 2,000
years many good meaning people have thought differently about the nature of
the Godhead.
The Trinity is what 99% of all evangelical Christians have believed in the
history of the Church.
Where did God choose to reveal himself as 3 gods ?
Or could it be that man chose to understand God's ministry unto man as 3 persons when in reality is God in 3 roles effecting the ministry of salvation of man ?

Where does it say that it is 3 separate entities ( not persons ) ..... God and the Holy Spirit are not persons.....
But rather they are 3 manifistations of One God.... so it is not a Trinity.... what will you call it if God comes to man, manifest as a fourth entity.... a fifth???
3 in 1 means some level of separation ---- 1 expressed in 3 ways is unity, with power.
There is a difference...... God is a single, all powerful supreme being. Jesus is a manifistation of God in the Flesh, and the Holy Spirit is a Manifistation of Jesus' Spirit.... But they are all God.

Alex,
You know all the scriptures that support both sides..The question is..can we walk in unity although neither side will agree..
The scriptures.
A.1 john 5..that says 3 bear witness.in Heaven
B.our brother's verse in Gen,.mentioning US C.and the baptism of Jesus.
My question..Can Christians from both sides embrace each other in Christian love..admitting that we all have limited understanding on this side of Heaven.
