Default What does the Lord's Supper mean to you?

How often should we take it?

Do we need to take it at all?

Are we saved if we do not take it?

Well you only have one wife so you're probably not FLDS.

Are there no musical instruments because;

congregation can't afford them?
believe they're sinful?
nobody knows how to play them?

I'm not going to start guessing, because there are an almost infinite number of denominations out there.

We statue worshippers are required to receivecommunion once a week on Sunday, although if you are in a largerparish like mine, you may have the opportunity every day. (The Saturday vigil mass, which we usually attendcounts for Sunday.) Most smaller parishes will have mass only once or twice a week.

Jesus told us to do it, so I believe we need to.

I'll pass on your third question since the term "saved" doesn't have the same meaning for you as it does for me.

With much being said in recent days concerning the Law of Moses VS the New Covenant, this raises a question in my mind.
Have we replaced a law of ordinance, based upon works, and created another law of ordinance, based upon works to replace it?
Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy? No, that is done away with!
Now we must remember to take the Lord's supper the first day of the week??
Just a question, Is there a difference?

It sounds to me like you are being taught to "question everything". Maybe you need to get back on the right path ; - )

Although I'm a Pentecostal true and true..I prefer a quiet service that shows respect and is 100% God centered..I attend an Episcopal 7:30 AM church service..There are 2 priest..One is a die hard conservatist whom I could listen to for hours andthe otheris a gracious Southern Baptist..The church service is awesome..The Lord's supper reminds me that although we daily strive for righteousness that it is only through the shed blood of Jesus that we are saved ..They also pray for the sick at the Lord's table and annoint with oil.
There are no instruments at the 7:30 service..This church has been going on since 1875..Beautiful church inside..

1 Jo 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

And I am very leary of those who resent being questioned.

What if Jesus was making representation of the Word when he was talking of his body being broken?Maybe it doesnt have anything to do with bread and wine. He said he was the bread of life and that man doesnt live on bread alone but the very words of God. Maybe we should examine ourselves before we consume the Word and notread it in anunworthy manner. We should consume the Word often in rememberence of him after all he died so we could have life through the Word. Jesus also washed his disiples feet and said we should do it often. How often do we wash each others feet? We dont because he is saying we should be servents to others and that alone is more than most are willing to do.
