Default Sunday Sermonette

Howdy everyone and it is good to see you here for our service..attendance has been outstanding and i want to thank you all for visiting..last sunday we had 94 and before that 64,80 and 131.. glory to God.. and please pray that lives might be changed, not by what i say but what God has shown them..i know many are in need of prayer so lets continue to pray for one another that God's perfect will shall come about.Dear Heavenly Father, we do thank you for he great God that you are..thank you for your love and mercy toward us..we ask you this morning to touch hearts and draw us closer to you and give us that love and consideration for one another and the desire in our hearts to share the gospel with hose we meet..in Jesus precious name and for his sake i pray, Amen..10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16 And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
John 1:10-18--KJV.I love the writings of John and i think the most important feature is him declaring the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. it is said by most scholars that the book of John was the last of the four gospels written so he has seen it all during Jesus ministry here on earth. he wrote of many signs and miracles that Jesus did during his ministry here on earth.. over in John 20:30-31 the Bible says,"And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."so we don't know about the other things Jesus did while here..To not be recognize by those called by your name or your family, can cause much pain and sadness. Jesus knew exactly how He was going to be received and He knew that those who had a very good understanding of the Old Testament would in many instances be the ones leading others against Him and His teachings. To know before what is going to happen and because He is God, He still was able to give a fair judgement against each who rejects Him and His Word. and yet in his day and age where we have seen so many things happening and we still reject him as they did back then..For when the people rejected Jesus, they also reject God the Father and the Holy Spirit, for they are inseparable and truly can not be distinguished One from the Other. For us, that can be hard to understand but that is what is called living a life of faith and walking not by sight, but again by faith. all of us who have had the scales of spiritual blindness cleared away, can see not by human strength or worldly wisdom , but by the Spirit of God opening our hearts to what God has for each sinner. Then when we receive life(see vs 12), then the Spirit dwells within us and then by what we do or don't we can lose sight of the path God has for us. Oh, that we would work at keeping the paths cleared and our eyes on Him as much as we do other earthly things. we have come to a very crucial time in the history of the world and it's existance..we can not go on ignoring God and His teachings..a lot of preachers are preaching a feel good gospel.thousands attend these churches and go home thinking everything will be alright when they ought to go home convicted because of there sin in there life..if you want to see what has happened , tune in to TBN. and listen to the prosperity teachers and false prophets..folks we need to wake up and stand up for Jesus for He is the only way to heaven..He said "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except by me" John 14:6Father thank you for your wonderful Word, the guideline for our life..and Father if there is one here today that don't know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour may this be the day of their salvation..in Jesus name and for his sake i pray amen...
