James 4:17Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin

I can think of several ways that this Scripture can apply to us. Mostly tho I apply this Scripture to having an understanding but denying it because it does'nt fit comfortably with our lifestyle, personal desires, or even doctrine.

It may seem a small thing, but the difference between being right, and being "almost" right can be termed, "nit-picking", or "splitting hairs" by many who many who approach salvation as if it was a game of "horse shoes". Just getting close counts as a score. I'm not shooting just to put a hole somewhere in the paper, I'm shooting for the bull's eye. If we speak "exactly" as the scripture speaks, "line upon line, precept upon precept" we can't be too far off target.
Where does Faith come from?Good question as one cannot please God without faith.
Heb. 10:17 tells that Faith comes from the Word of God. Almost right,Anythingother than that will not be execpted.
Heb. 10:17 says that faith cometh "BY", not from, and "by" what means? Reading? Memorizing scripture? No, it comes by hearing. How does hearing come? By a preacher! And how shall he preach except he be sent.
KJV says to him that knows to do good and and don't do it, its sin. (Parapharsed) Self-explantory! to me
How does one come to know what doing good is? How does he know the difference between doing good, and doing evil, or sin? The bible says, "I would not have known sin, except by the law". If the Old Testament law had not named sin, the New Testament church would not know the difference between good and evil.
Does God hold sin against one who doesn't have the knowledge of the act being classified as sin by God? When does sin become sin in the life of an individual? Before knowledge, or after knowledge?
Is it Just Me, Or do you all have a conscience that tells you before you even commit a sin, that it is sinful ?
I mean I grew up knowing and living by the Law and before I knew Messiah I would do things even knowing that it was wrong,
Now I simply not obey my flesh or Mind, it is like a brake that says NO ! simple and plain.
Do you all feel the same or have this ?
