Default Sunday Sermonette

Good morning and welcome to church on the net..may God's Word bless you and keep you.. there are many that need prayer so please pray for one another..we serve a God who hears and wants to answer our prayers..

Father again we thank you for this opportunity to study thy Word, and grow in our faith..please help those that are in need whatever it might be and we will give you all the honor and praise, in Jesus name i pray, Amen..
31And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.
32And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
33And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
34Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
35And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
36And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
37And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about... Luke 4:31-37 KJV.

You realize the Christians today are a lot like those back then..we believe in God and His Son Jesus, but do we believe He can do what He says He can do? i think of the father of the boy who had an unclean spirit and they brought him to Jesus, "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief" Mark 9:24 oh my dear friends we need to get rid of our unbelief and put our complete trust in our Lord and Saviour..as in verse, they were amazed and were talking among themselves, what a word is this? with power and authority he ordered the evil spirits out of the boy and they obeyed..I imagine we too would be amazed if we could get rid of our unbelief and let Jesus do what he says he will do in our lives today..the way Jesus lived and conducted Himself always affected people. now it was not always the same effect. To many, especially those who were considered learned scholars, they did not care for Him at all. that's the trouble with some Christians today, they think they know as much if not more than God does..let me give you a clue, if we think that we are fools.. that's where all these false teachers, preachers and so called prophets are coming from, the educated class..In fact, whenever they could they would attempt to get the people i to go against Him, but until Jesus time came, they never had much luck doing this. Then to those who did not have the education or were just the common workman, they marveled at what He did and how He did it! that they noticed from the very beginning (though at times for all the wrong reasons) that He was truly different. what you and I have got to understand, is that Jesus did not do this for Himself, BUT for all who would follow Him and desire to honor His Name, He would endow with the power of God through the Holy Spirit. where man could have the Spirit come upon him, Jesus was going to teach that the Spirit of God would dwell in each individual who followed after Him. read again what He did above and see how the people responded. just as much as they were amazed, we should understand that is normal for the believer and follower of Jesus. allow Him to touch our lives and may we learn that in all things to allow Him to direct our paths. have a great weekend and talk to someone about Jesus..

Father we thank you for your Word that is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path..help us lord to walk close to thee and to put our complete trust in you and your promises..and Father if there is one here that is lost and hell bound may this be the day of their salvation..in Jesus name and for his sake I pray..Amen

I believe, for every drop of rain that falls,
A flower grows.
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night,
A candle glows.
I believe for everyone who goes astray,
Someone will come, to show the way,
I believe, I believe.
I believe, above the storm the smallest prayer,
Will still be heard.
I believe, that someone in the great somewhere,
Hears every word.
Everytime I hear a newborn baby cry,
Or touch a leaf, or see the sky,
Then I know why, I believe!

Amen brother Wayne, thanks for the Word . . .Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
