Default Sometimes I think all we give the Lord is leftovers

We spend all of our Time, Talent, and Money doing the things we want to do and if we got any leftover we will give it to the Lord.

Our Lord will never be happy with Leftovers. The Childernof Israelwere told to give their first fruits to the lord. And they could have the Spoils of the rest.

I heard a storie about a preacher who had a Dog named Frank(ain't that a dandy name for a dog) and all frank ever got was Leftovers. He thought Frank deserved better than that, So onhis Birthday he slipped Frank a piece Cake off his Plate. (I bet Frank injoyed that don't you?) Do you know what he said next? I treated my Dog better than some of you treat the Lord.

We spend all of our time doing what we need to do and if we got any leftover we will give it to the Lord. Spend our Money paying our bills if we got any Leftover we will give it to the Lord.

For those that we love we buy all we can. I had Cathy's Ring on layway before I could Possiably pay for it why because I loved Her. You find people who love the Lord like that you don't need to worry what % they will put in the plate.
They may give without Loving, but, they will never Love without Giving.

Thanks Fellows, 56 Lookers and 3 Positive feed backs a record for me

First I want to say those are not my thoughts they came from Dr. Neal Pryor 30 years ago.
My wife copyed it off a tape. And typed it on paper for me so I could read it as a Sermon.

Well let me give you another one while we are here. Why do people not give as they should? I had sermons when I started peaching that would embarrse anyone if he didn't at least give 10% and sometime I would look at the board and the Contribution would go down. What was the problem? I was dealing with Symptoms and not Causes. Why do people not give as they should? I was talking to man who made a great deal of money. And we in his office and there set a Jar of Pickles on his desk. On that Jar of Pickles read GOD FIRST, OTHERS SECOND, AND PICKLES THIRD their is not a thing wrong with pickles, but when we start putting our pickles before God and Others. I was over in a Mission Field and we roped off and Area where they could bring their gifts and put then in a ring. And their was this man their crying because he NOTHING to give. Ater some time of people putting their things in the Ring. Thei man Carwled over the Rope and Stood in the Ring and "said I give my self" That what I am talking about Giving yourself to the Lord. That is Total Commintment Defined by our Ginersoity are our lack of it.

Enjoy!
