Default RE: prayer questions

Good Question, When I Pray, I assume the Lord is going to take care of it, Somehow. I must confess my Prayer Life has been in Shambles as of Late.

Every so often, it hits me like a Ton of Brick. "I haven't prayed lately" The other morning that happened and I fell back on the bed. And started Praying, then I thought I am not even sure he will hear me. So I Pray Lord, please forgive me of all the stupid stuff I have done. Help me to be a Better Person, Christian, then I thought! Lord, please do it in a Normal Way, In other words, don't put me in a Hosptial, take one of my Kids or Wife. I don't know sometimes? I just don't know what to ask for. But, he knows our every need. We just need to let him know that we Love, Him, how we do that is by doing what he wants us to do! Sounds like Double Talk! Maybe that is where we get the expression of what Go's around Comes Around?

I don't know if I helped you are not, but, it sure helped me....LoL

Default RE: prayer questions

Prayer doesn't necessarily have to be asking for something. We pray the Liturgy of the Hours morning and evening. This is essentially Psalms and other passages from Scripture coordinated with the seasons of the church year. The main theme is recognition of God's blessings and His presence.

We each say the rosary once a day, which is just a chain of professions of faith, the Our Father, and prayers for forgiveness. I often say it while I'm nursing Miriam.

There are lots of examples of passages that could be used by non-Catholics in the "Let's talk about Jesus" thread if one is looking for some ideas. Incorporating regular prayer into your daily life keeps us continually mindful of our relationship to God.

Just my humble opinion.
