Default Sunday Sermonette

Good morning all..so glad you could make it to church this morning and i pray God will have a blessing for you..many are inneed pray due to sickness ans many other needs so let's continue to pray for one another..

Father thank for these faithful ones who love you and want to hear and be doers of your Word,that what you would have us to do..we pray for those who are sick and in need of the help that only you can give.. we thank you and love you in Jesus Name, Amen..

7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Psalms 90:7-12 kjv.

The writer of this Psalms, Moses, understood what it meant to come up against the anger of the God of Israel. Because he did not do what God had told him to do regarding the rock as Moses spoke to the people, God would not allow him to enter the Promised Land. the people were wrong in their actions, but for the leader of the people of God, there is no excuse when you are told what to do. Yes, people will and can get on one's nerves, it happens everyday here on this forum,but that does not excuse us of using the good judgment that He will provide for us. Also the last verse above, should be a point for each us to strive after. We want to stand before God and hear the words, "Well, done my child, enter into my peace." Also from above, we may get seventy years or possibly eighty, as you know i will be 79 the 30th of this month and it seems like only yesterday i was young and carefree not ralizing what God had in store for me.. but it will go by so quickly and before you know it, human life is over..remember Moses was 80 years old before God used him in a mighty way so don't get discouraged , just because you are getting older, maybe God has something in store for you that will make it worth it all.. not long ago we celebrated the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For many it was just another day, but for each who has had their sins forgiven, it is more than just a day. It is life and we should never forget what it cost God to provide us that life. We are about ready to start the second quarter of the year 2008. Hard to believe we are here, yet we are. Take time to know Him and spend time in His Word and with Him in prayer. Your week will never be better and the time spent is more than worth it.

Father thank you for examples like Moses that we might realize that as long as we are here there is something we can do fot the cause of Christ.. in Jesus name and for his sake i pray, Amen.

Oft times the day seems long, our trials hard to bear,
We're tempted to complain, to murmur and despair;
But Christ will soon appear to catch His Bride away,
All tears forever over in God's eternal day.

Refrain

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One gliimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Sometimes the sky looks dark with not a ray of light,
We're tossed and driven on , no human help in sight;
But there is one in heav'n who knows our deepest care,
Let Jesus solve your problem - just go to Him in pray'r. .
Life's day will soon be o'er, all storms forever past,
We'll cross the great divide, to glory, safe at last;
We'll share the joys of heav'n - a harp, a home, a crown,
The tempter will be banished, we'll lay our burden down.

Refrain

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One gliimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Another inspiring sermonette Sir. Thank you.

Wow, eighty years Mr. Fife. Sometimes I wonder what it will be like if I get to an age like that. I hope you have lots of years left and will be in good health during those years.
