Which is easier for ya..

a. To pray for 10 minutes or
b. Read the Word for20 minutes.

Sorry Chuck, I'm just an unruley student I reckon. I'm luckey that I'm able to set aside at least a half an hr a day for reading the Word. Praying is different, I really feel better about prayer when I'm setting aside time for prayer alone. By alone . . .I mean reverently, kneeling totally focused on God, with no one else around.
Unfortunatley, I don't have a daily routine set aside for that. What I do daily is pray as I go about my duties in the morning. I especially pray on my way to work and on the way home. This may seem sacreligeous to some but I really have some good one on one during these times. This evening for instance on the way home I got into prayer for folk, bringing them up unto the Lord, and really felt that I pressed thru. I won't say it does'nt matter where or how you pray but pray.

PS . . . . Does anyone have hangups about folding the pages in your Bible to mark your place, setting something on top of your Bible such as your car keys, etc, . . . .or is that just my own personal quirks?

I guess a better question would be, what do you consider a fast? Is it missing a meal, eating no good thing, going with out food and water for a day or two, not eating for a week . .other?
