Default Are we in the last days or what??

Are we living in the last days?

1. Are not most churches carnal minded and preaching a watered down gospel by word and example"

2. Has not Satan polluted and corrupted the minds of most through the use of music and television?

3.Folks will continueto get scammed as the love for things ensnares them..while their wasted spending will one day testify against them fo rnot hearing the cries of the poor.

4. Carnal minded 'Christians ' will continue to split theological hairs instead of being a conduit to reach the loss..instead they are lost in the smokescreen of pride.

I think we are in trouble my friend..The world is spinnng out of control..Yes, the man of peace may come in givesome kind of short relief but don't bank on it.He will come at such an hour as this..Strenghthen the things that remain and surrender your life 100% to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Be the real Christian God has called each of us to. Many are called but few are chosen. The road to Heaven is a narrow road.."Few there be that find it." It's dispised by most. Set your affections on things above NOT on things of this earth..for this earth shall dissolve with fervent heat.

Just a wake up casll my friends.

1- Can't say, haven't been to most churches. I'm satisfied that mine is on the right track.

2- Satan might very well be giving some encouragement, but, by and large, we are responsible for polluting and corrupting our own minds.

3- This is nothing new. The Bible itself warns of the dangers of focusing on the acquisition of wealth and the worship of material goods.

4- Funny you should mention "splitting theological hairs."Apparently you have been reading some of the threads on this forum.

All this perverse and degraded behavior is nothing new. It's been going on ever since the beginning. Hey, how about that story of Sodom and Gomorrah?

The way I see it, the more things change the more they stay the same. Folks have been trying to figure out when the end of time would be since the apostles asked Christ when it would be--even they evidently thought it would be in their lifetime.

The only thing we know for sure is every day brings us a day closer. Spending time trying to predict the unpredictable (Christ said no man knows, but the Father only) is folley. Nobody could change it if they could predict it anyway--the only safe bet is to be ready right now.

As a side note, there are some folks that split those "theological hairs" out of love and respect and concern of their fellow man and God's commands.

A verse from Matthew comes to mind, something along the lines of "Not every one that says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven". When you have one person doing one thing, another doing something else, and a third doing yet another, can they all be obeying the same instructions? For my part, when it's my soul on the line I'm going to try to pay attention to the details.

Also brings to mind an old saying that was put to song in the 80's--you gotta' stand for something or you'll fall for anything. I don't let my ship sail just whatever way the wind is blowing.

It seems to me that Jesus wants us stuying about the end times..Revelation is the only book about a promiced blessing to those who study it..
Let's look at some verses..

Matthew 24:32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

It's not about predicting..it's about observing..discering and being in tune with God;s Spirit..We are gettng ready for a real depression according to Wall Street" The Europeans according to Dave Wilkerson is preparing a man as we speak to try and find peace to the world finantial problem..and is building a strong military as well..This isn't abpoit Chuck7 simply finding something to post..this sense of urgency is going through the hearts of many evangelicals..

Jesus said His children would know when the birth pains and sorrows would be here..Wise men searched the scriptures adn found the place of birth when Jesus was born..Wise men also are in tune with God and His Spirit.."we are not of the night but of the day."

I don't know when the end times will be here brother so I am doing my best to continue to run a steady race like instructed in Hebrews.

Mark 13:35 says that we do not know the hour the Master of the house is coming, not morning, noon, or night. Just that He will be here when it is the right time. I try not to speculate the end times to much because I wouldn't want to tempt myself in thinking I know and becoming lazy and unfruitful in my walk. Oh the glory that will be given to Him on that amazing day! It would be awesome to see it.

I actually think quite the opposite..Peter says "Knowing the earth shall dissolve with fervent heat how much more that shall cause oneto walk soberly and upright.."As you see the day draw nigh."

I guess I know that will happen I just try not to figure out exactly when because I know that it keeps me sober. I can feel myself strenghten in the Lord and mature daily. It hurts to see all of the corruption going on and all the sheep being led astray and keep connected with these things as a reminder to pray for God's children- all of them.
