Default One Bible

If you could only own one Bible which one would you choose? My wife ordered me a new Bible the other day. I was amazed at all the different ones available. I use the KJV as my main study Bible so I'm going with that with the Thompson Chain. I also picked one without commentary of the Scripture but does have an insert of DK Bernards works.

I was very happy that this pastor power points his verses he preaches from on the over head..He uses my favorite version..the King James..

I've wore out 2 Thompson Chains..I bought a very nice Zondervon Red lettered Giant Print king James last week from a garage sale for 1.00 in mint condition..I try to have a Bible in every room...There's always time for a Bible break.

I love my Nelson Spirit Filled Bible, with commentaries by Dr. Jack Hayford. My wife got it for me the last Christmas she was alive. I will never part with it. Every day when I read it, reminds me of the thrity great years God gave us together.

King James- nelson Commentary.. i also use matthew Hernry's commentary a lot...I believe in the verbal inspiration of the Holy Scriptures.I believe that God has preserved His very words in the transmission of His Word as found in the Greek Textus Receptus and the Hebrew Masoretic Text. I believe that the Bible as we have it today in the King James Version is the Word of God in the English language in a sense that cannot be said of any other translation..

I would have to say King James, I have a NKJV study bible I believe it is Nelson, but I have learned to love my KJV. If there is a word I don't understand I just look it up on line with the old websters dictionary because the new ones change the meaning.

Did you know that if you looked up the word love in a new dictionary you would have to look up the word lust in the old websters to find the same description? Culture has changed a lot of things.

We use KJV at our church so when I do devotions I need to take them out of there. I used to look them up in my study bible but now I've been reading my KJV enough that I don't need to. It's fantastic.
