Church?

Well basically i just moved to a new city a little while ago. and i was wondering if i had to do anything special to go to church? WhatI am getting at is that i have not gone since i was around 10 but i want to start going now. I have picked my church that i want to go to but should i call them and tell them that i am comeing? or just show up?

If you were going to the bar, would you call ahead and announce your coming? I'm not trying to be smart, just wondering what kind of mental picture you have of God and his Church? When you go, what are you expecting when you arrive?

If you picked the church of Christ you did well if not you got a lot of growing to do. If it is the Lords church you can just go and not worry about anything. When you hear the Gospel preached if you believe and have repented just make the good confession and be Bpatized into the Lord's church. That's the best advice I can give you

You don't need to call you can just go, however it could be beneficial to give the pastor a call and talk to him a bit. Not that anyone goes out of their way to make you feel unwelcome but sometimes going to a new church can make you feel that way and this will probably help ease some of that feeling.

There are no perfect churches...becasue they contain inperfect humans.Go to be a blessing ..I hope you get plugged in and get ministered to as well as being a blessng yourself,

I'd go a little early, or stay a little while after the service to meet the preacher and introduce myself to folks and get to know them a bit. Most any congregation is happy to have someone new--if they don't give you a warm welcome, well......if it were me, I'd consider visiting somewhere else.
