Ok ... this is the first time I ever posted in this forum so please bare with me , first off let metell you that I'm a firm believer in God and that accepted Jesus Christ as my savor many times though out my life. My qustion is ... how do you know if you have been saved or accepted by God ? Is it a feeling you have in your heart or do you see a sign of some sort , or is it something that you experience.

The Bible says that whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, and through that we take faith that the blood of Christ has reconciled us. I don't think that there is a certain feeling or emotion that one must feel. Is emotion a part of it, at times, but it is not a necessity. The only emotion I would see that could be "garaunteed" is one a sorrow/joy. Sorrow after truely seeing our sin in light of God and the price that Christ had to pay for our sin, but joy in that He did pay that price and we have been redeemed. But to simply answer your question, you know you have been accepted by God through faith in His Son's death and resurrection. Regardless of what will be said, and i know im starting something with this, there is not set of events or emotions that come along with Salvation, if so how do you explain the salvation of the theif on the cross. hope this helps.
So what your telling me is that I should just go on each day believing that I've been saved. I pray to God every day for waking up and for my family and friends even other people I don't know. I feel blessed for my life even through the troubled times , I feel closer to God when I'm in the woods weather I'm hunting , scouting or just walking around. I pray each night before I go to bed for a better future for the world and everyone that lives on it.

not really sure what you meant there, but what I am saying is that once you are saved and truely acknowledge your sin before God and your need for Christ and put your faith in His death and resurrection on our behalf, then yes you should go on believing you are saved. No where in the Bible does it tell us that our salvation is based on our feelings or emotions.
Thanks preacher and snooky , I guess I needed some type of reinforcement in my fath and what you guy said provided that for me. Thanks again and may God Bless us all though out our lives.

Feelings often get in the way of serving God. It doesn't matter what we think, feel, ect. We have a more sure word of prophecy. God's word stands eternal and never changes. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice".
Isaac got in trouble because he didn't listen to the voice, but trusted in his feeling with his hands, smelling with the nose, ect. and blessed the wrong son.
Stay with Gods word reqardless of all the agruements against it and you will never go wrong.
[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Ok rebel, you post this often and it is straight forward. What is your intentions if you don't say something? Are you trying to make the person have doubt?
