Yes!

do we HAVE to go to church? We should want to go Worship the God in Heaven, Thru his Son who give his life for us. Be in Fellowship with our Brothers and Sisters. Encourage the brethern, lift up the Fallen, Partake of the Lord's Supper, Sing Songs of praise to him. Be Edified by preaching. Give as we have been prospered for the work of the church to reach the Lost.

what can you do in church you cannot do at home tho...in dire conditions you can do baptism, prolly not the Lord's Supper, but i can sing amazing grace and rock of ages(well, i cant really sing them WELL), and i can read The Word. We all know what church doctrine can do, it can lead you down the wrong path, so in my cousins easy to sculpt mind, isnt church an unnecessary peril, i mean, the church he goes to gives communion in 2nd grade i think, do these kids really know what they are doing it FOR that early, i seriously used to think it was the rebel in him, but the more i read about church doctrine and it corruptiveness,i am starting to side with him. he used his reasoning as an excuse to get out of waking up at 8 oclock, but i look deeper than that, i just dont know...

You cannot fulfill the scripture which says, "forsake not the assembling of yourselves as the manner of some is, but more so as ye see the day approaching".

It would be hard to say as David, "I was glad when they said unto me, let us go to the house of the Lord".

When the Bride wants to be somewhere other than where the Bride groom is found, the marriage is on the rocks.

Many people say I want Christ but I don't want the church. You can't have one without the other he is the Head we are Body if you cut off the head we die! The church is the people, we are to give and help others find christ. Help the Poor, we are a pecular people zellous of good works. Christ must have the first place of Honor, what ever we do in word or deed should be done in the name of the Lord.

Hello guys! Been a long time, but decided to venture back. Good point Turkey. It is like someone saying I want to be a football player. They go buy all the pads and helment and football, but until they step on the field and play, they aren't playing football, much less considered a football player.

As a christian, our playing field is the lost world and our practice field is the church. We meet to do the following as quoted by TurkeyFire:

Yes!

do we HAVE to go to church? We should want to go Worship the God in Heaven, Thru his Son who give his life for us. Be in Fellowship with our Brothers and Sisters. Encourage the brethern, lift up the Fallen, Partake of the Lord's Supper, Sing Songs of praise to him. Be Edified by preaching. Yes.
Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near.
Now you canlook at this verse however you want.I was asked one day by a friend of mine and I could tell he knew he should go to Church and just wanted someone to tell him no you don't need to go to Church, and he was just fishing for someone to tell him what he wanted to hear, and when I read this verse to him he said to me I was taking it to literaly and that it meant that one should not keep to themselves to much and get togther with friends because it is not heathly from a mental stand and to much being alone could make one crazy. Now I ask anyone to answer me this, does anyone that God is that concerned with us meeting for friends for coffee and have dinner withs friends.I myself think not I believe that the verse is telling us to go to church. If I'm wrong and God is really that concerned with wether we meet with friends for coffee and stuff like my friend thinks that is what this verse means,I would like to if God is really that concerned with all the small things in our lives why is it that when you watch a Ball game on the TV and the batter draws a cross on his chest before he bats why is God does not let him hit a Home run eveytimea ball player draws a cross on his chest.I'm not trying to say God is not concerned withall aspect's of our lives but the thing he is most concerned about is are spiritual wellfare.

Matt 18:18-20

[18] Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
[19] Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
[20] For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Thiscould be in a hunting camp or a fishing camp! Just bow your heads, ask the Lord to bless your hunting or fishing outing and to shepperd and quide you and your christian hunting brothers on a safe hunt.
