Default seasonal traditions

1 Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Col 2: 16-17 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath day: V17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Why were we born? To be lost? No we were born to be saved and to fellowship with our God, in this life and in that which is to come!
The 7 feast of Israel foreshadow Gods redemption plan for fallen man and the plan for the ages. Passover is the first and foundation of which the other 6 stand upon.
Heb 9:22 without the shedding of blood is no remission. No remission=no salvation. No salvation=everything else means nothing.

Passover is a memorial of Gods deliverance of his people from Egypts bondage. Egypt being a type of the sinful boundage all have been under since Adam's fall in the garden.
Passover was to be a yearly observance. It was never to be forgotten, but kept in rememberance always-Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.
Take a young lamb=pure and sinless, w/o spot or blemish.
John Baptist declared, "behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world". Pilate examined Jesus and declared, "I find no fault in him".
Jesus was take into the city at the same time as the Passover Lambs, "Palm Sunday" four days before the Passover as tradition required. That was the reason for the rejoicing as he made his triumphant entry, they recognized who Jesus really was! God shall prepare himself a lamb!
There was no blood for the doorpost until the Lamb was slain.
The lamb must be roast with fire. No bones were to be broken. All of the Lamb must be consumed along with unleavened bread, (the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth), and bitter herbs. The roll will be bitter in thy mouth, but in thy belly shall be sweet as honey.
I am told that by tradition, each lamd carried a name tag stating whose lamb he was. Over his head was the sign placed, "King of The Jews".
Notice-Any egyptian could have excaped the Death Angel just as well as the Jews. Appling the blood to the door post would have gotten them past the judgement that came. Whosoever will let him come!
The Lamb was eaten as they were gird about with a belt, their sandels on, and the staff in hand. Ready to make haste to leave the sin of bondage behind.
Immediatly God led them unto the sea where they were baptized in the sea and in the cloud. No one was out of Egypt until they departed the Red Sea! Egypt, The bondage of sin was destroyed by the same sea that delievered the Jews! It was there that their journey to the promised land began! Only after being baptized unto Christ in the Sea and in the Cloud, (water and Spirit) did they get to eat of the heavenly manna, and drink water from the rock, (and that Rock was Christ). Only after being baptized in the sea, did God give them his commandments.
Another thing to concider about that first Passover was this; Any strangers, or foreigners who ate the Lamb, must first be circumised, another type of New Testament baptism.

One them must keep the feast of unleavened bread, putting out all sinful leaven="cleanse yourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit".
Pentecost came 50 days after passover. Acts 2, the birth of the New Testament Church. None can present themselves exceptible before God without the help of The Holy Spirit.

Don't be sidetracked with rabbits that lay colored eggs, fancy dresses, ect and neglect the spiritual lessons hidden away in the season.

Snooky, a lot of good insights here . . .you've been into the types and shadows for a good while now. I remember way back when you were studying the significance of the design of the Ark of the Covenant.
And now you have been working on this. You've inspired me to make this study myself as I see a lot of benefit from an understanding of these things. Could you save me a lot of time by listing the 7 feasts of Israel you mention that forshadow the redemption plan?

Seven is Gods number of completion. Seven days of creation, seven week days, seven months in the Jewish religious calander, seven churchs, seven spirits, seven candlesticks, seven church ages, seven vials, seven trumpets, ect. ect.
Seven feast days given by God to Israel. Contains the complete plan of salvation for all mankind. Also contains Gods complete plan for the ages.
Three spring feasts:
Passover, the foundation upon which the others build.
Unleavened bread.

The summer feast was Pentecost-50 days after Passover. Notice the order in which everything comes together.
Three fall feast yet unfulfilled in time. Four feasts have passed, and three are yet to come.
