Default Wandering Stars

Writtings from an old friend, Donald Lance
Judges 5:10 "The Stars in their courses"
Jude 13 Wandering Stars
When we observe the universe, we soon discover that God has a fixed path for every star. We are told that the Milky Way alone contains 300 million Suns. The Sun which seems so near on a hot summer day is 93 million miles away. Some stars are so far away that it takes centuries for their light to reach earth while traveling at 186,000 miles per second.
With millions of stars fixed in the universe, and millions of planets on the go, yet the movement of each is so minutely adjusted that it forms a stand of measurement for all human observation.
The movements are so regular that in an entire century the solar year varies only one thousandths of a second.
Why is all this? Because our Heavenly Father, whose tremendous mind has planned it all, created it all and substains it all. Just as sure as he has a fixed path for every star-He has a fixed path for every star, He has a place of responsibility for every Saint. Stability has ever been a mark of a righteous man. The Psalmist said--he shall be like a tree PLANTED by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season, Ps 1:3. The ungodly are characterized as un-reliable. They are like the chaff which the wind driveth away, Ps 1:4.
The Church of Jesus Christ has been hindered in its progress by those who accept no permanent position within the frame work of the Church. Jude comparedan unstable worshipperto a "Wandering Star"
Now, as with the early Church, we are plagued with those who are not content with one meeting place, not satisfied with one minister, not loyal to one assembly, and not attached to one group, but who exhibit the age old trait od "wandering". They are "wandering Stars". It is apparentthat Judes discourse was concerned with something deeper than those who went from Church to Church. He was indicting those who had forsaken completly the way of God. BUT THOSE WHO ARE LAX ABOUT THE PLACE THEY ATTEND, OFTEN BECOME CARELESS ABOUT THE STATE OF THEIR LIVES.
Those who form no permant attachment to a group or meeting place, often form no permanent attachment to a doctrine or faith.

The farther you go from Christ-The deeper you will get into sin.

Your love for Christ will be in proportion to the eagerness with which you daily keep from sin.

Sounds like Jesus how many churches was he kicked out of ??? or wiped the dust off of his feet. in Jude the fruit of these "Wanderers "are obvious..they are mere talkers "Clouds without rain" and have no fruit..they are captives of their lust..they love money.

Is there even one record of such happening in the New Testament Church? The New Testament Church didn't come into being until the Day of Pentecost did it? Hadn't Jesus been crucified, buried, rose from the dead, and assended up into the Heavens at that time?

That pretty well sums it up. That is the pattern most all of the ones I have met who cannot sit in a local assembly and work in harmony with the Body of Christ.

And Jesus warned the true followers.."Ye shall be hated and they will think they are doing God's will when they separate ye from thier fellowship." and "Ye shall be hated."I appreciate theremarks Snook you are fullfilling God's Word. and I mean that. Lot's of times when I'm done reading your condescending remarks the Lord reminds me to to "Rejoice and be exceeding glad." Which I do..SO I appreciate your remarks..

Chuck, I'm sure that in Bible College you learned that Jesus didn't live in the New Testament. It (the New Testament)could not come as long as Jesus live on earth in flesh.

Snooky,

Maybe so...but we started the conversation with uncommitted church hoppers..My comment..the Jews didn't want noting to do with Jesus so he goes to Galilee of the Gentiles..he had trouble with the religious leaders from day one...The Nazerienes tried to kill Him..and the religious leaders lay in wait tryin got catch Him inhis Word..Christ real stenghthening came duringHis get away times during prayer .The Word says "Many are the afflictions of the righteous." The message of Jude is not about unsatisfied Christians..It's more about those who confess of a false gift.."They are clouds without water."
Let's look at it.

When these people eat with you in your fellowship meals commemorating the Lord"™s love, they are like dangerous reefs that can shipwreck you. That would n't be me..I don't go to church. These are church goers..They are like shameless shepherds who care only for themselves.sounds like church leaders to me.."Shameless shepherds. They are like clouds blowing over the land without giving any rain. Sounds like false prophets to me..They are like trees in autumn that are doubly dead, for they bear no fruit{NO FRUIT!!!}and have been pulled up by the roots. 13 They are like wild waves of the sea, churning up the foam of their shameful deeds. They are like wandering stars, doomed forever to blackest darkness.
Amen...sounds like fales prophets to me..Great post Snooky. This has nothing to do with discontent Christians..This is leaders boasting of a gift that they really don't have..

Our discussion started here Chuck, with another unscriptural statement which I questioned as I did the 1/3 part of God statement that you made in the other thread. If you are going to say that the Bible says, you need to supply a scripture when asked for biblical proof.
