Its 10pm here and i've been doing alot of thinking about things that have been going on in my life.

I just want to be happy, have a normal life, have a nice house with my boyfriend and that my parents have a long and good life ahead of them.

My mum is going through a reallybad time, she had a major operation in Jan 2007 and she has permanent nerve damage in her spine and her left side which leaves her in some amount of excruciating pain and i hate to see her like this, she is a shadow of her former self but i feel like there is nothing i can do but watch her suffer. It really upsets me and brings me down. I love my mum dearly and i dont want anything to happen to her. Surely there must be something i can do.

I also want to restore my faith in Jesus Christ and God.

Im just down alot to be honest, I just cant find that inner happiness that people go on about. Its all to do with my mum shes like a bone now, shes so frail it scares me. I feel so helpless.

Also my boyfriend is over here on a student visa and there is no guarantee that he will get to stay here permanently. He is applying for a 2 year work permit in June but after than runs out he may need to go home.

Surely there must be something i can do.

There is, you keep loving her. And be a good person. You don't need to be Rich, have a Great Job, A Beauty Queen, To be a Sucuess, is be a Good Person.

To be a Christian one need to believe in Jesus, Repent of their sins, Confess Christ before Men/Women, and be Baptized for the Forgiveness of your past sins. And the Lord will add you to His Chruch Acts 2:47. This is the way the only way to be saved.

Will you have Warm Fussy Feelings all the time, NO! Inter Peace comes from doing the right thing. In my book doing the right thing is being a Christian, If you are having Sex Stop or Marry the guy. Drugs and Drinking? Stop! Lying? Stop! Its not easy being a christian but its the best life. If you become a Christian. God will help thru prayer. Study, the Church will help you Grow.

Just doing the right things will help you grow in life. However, doing Spirituall things will help you grow as a Christian.

You have several things that others don't all have, You have a MUM and Dad that loves you. You have a Boy Friend. You have a Roof over your head and Clothes on your back. Friends 1000"s of miles away. What more could you want?

I think you are a sweet kid keep your Chin Up!

I agree you are all ready taking the steps to restoring your faith and your relationship with God.

This peace that everyone is talking about is a result of their personal relationship with Christ.

In the OT after Adam and Eve sinned things changed significantly. The bible says that before they ate the friut God walked with them in the garden, and after He decided that He was no longer going to physically be here on earth with us.

Then He talked to certain people, like Moses and Aaron whom God made an exception for to be a witness to what He said to Moses.

Then things changed again and Jesus came and provided as an interceeder to God. As a gift to us He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit when He was crucified. The bible says that the Spirit is God and knows every part of us and in times of despair when we can't even pray the Spirit steps in for us. (there are many instances where peoples prayers are no more than groans and utterings)

God wants us to be close toHim and to talk to Him through prayer. He wants us to read the bible so that we can get to know Him.

As far as your mom, PRAY, pray for her daily, and remember God's promises. He will not leave you of forsake you or your mom. A prayer said is a prayer answered, even if it isn't the answer we want or expect. Just remember if your mom believes in Jesus and has accepted Him into her heart when she does leave here she is going to be in a much better place.

I heard once that the reason we surround ourselves with things that are beautiful to us is because we are homesick. As Christians we know that this earth is not our permanent home and that we get homesick for our home in heaven with God.

And I will pray for you and your mom.

Keep your head up and remember that change doesn't usually happen overnight. I have faith that you will end up exactly where God intends you to be. With God nothing is impossible.
