Default Sunday Sermonette

good morning everyone and welcome to church at the Crossroads..Hope everything has went well at your house this week and i am sure God has blessed you in some special way..I know that some here are going through trying times so please pray for one another..it is so easy to get discouraged when things go wrong in our lives and we sometimes wonder why, but remember God is still on the throne and He is in control of all that happens..He says in Romans, "All things work together for good for those who love him according to His purpose"..

Father we do thank you that you are a God that hears and answers prayer,so we come to you this day seeking your will in our lives.please touch and heal those who are sick and afflicted and comfort those who are downhearted and we will praise you and thank you in Jesus name Amen

21 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Proverbs 3:21-26 kjv.

Peace is what the world is looking for and yet they want to get peace man's way and then they wonder why they can not accomplish the task. they are looking for peace in all the wrong places..i saw two sisters onthe Dr. Phil show that were addicted to drugs and when he asked them what they wanted both said, peace of mind..it cannot be found in a bottle of whiskey or on cocaine or heroin..it can only come from God..we have people who work at peace and they also have trouble trying to understand why they can not accomplish the task. for the person who trusts in God, we see that we are to be able to lie down and our sleep will be sweet. also we should not be in fear of disaster or ruin, for our God takes care of His children. aren't ya glad you are a member of the family of God? Praise the Lord i am a child of the King..glory to God!! It is not a hit or miss with God, but He will watch over and provide what is necessary for the situation we are in. He says in his Word that He will not put on us more than we can handle If God does not answer as we feel He should, there can be other things which we are unaware of and may be even better for us. remember that our home is heaven, not earth. our King is Jesus and not the president or other individual in government that we feel we can rely upon. Peace is the bottom line and people continue to search and spend much for getting that peace. for many, they will never reach this as they do not understand forgiveness of sin and with that forgiveness comes peace. Yet, we continue to see many who will not accept what the Bible calls 'forgiveness of sin' , so they never get that peace and only can sleep if a pill has been taken. Allow God to be at the heart of our walk and may others see in us a difference that comes because we know Who our Redeemer is!! Have a great week and truly allow the Peace of God to be with you each.

thank you again Father for your wonderful Word that can bring us that peace that passeth all undertanding. and as always Father if there is one here tha does not have that peace may this be their day..in Jesus name i pray, Amen..

Peace In The Valley
Oh well, I?m tired and so weary But I must go alone
Till the lord comes and calls, calls me away, oh yes
Well the morning's so bright And the lamb is a light
And the night, night is as black as the sea, oh yes

Well the bear will be gentle And the wolves will be tame
And the lion shall lay down by the lamb, oh yes
And the beasts from the wild Shall be led by a child
And I'll be changed, changed from this creature that I am, oh yes

There will be peace in the valley for me, some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me, for me
