Hey Fred,
I remember you asking this last year...Same answer my friend..We walk by faith...There are a few basic principles though..
1. That still small voice in your head has to line up with God's Word.
a. Therefore you must know God's Word very well.

b...and still our wants get involved alot so your desires and flesh play a great deal in this picture..I don't think anyone has
complete discernment over their thoughts whether they be of God or oneself..To be honest..apart from fasting I have very little confidence over direction from my own head..My wife and I begin each day with prayer..My first meal is generally at dinner time..One must be still before the Lord..You won't find God's will through TV. Jesus oft times would go off by himself..Silence is a wonderful way to get to know God..I went fishing today and there were long periods of time when I ask my son if it was ok if I kept silent for a while..I find silence for a few hours one of th ebest ways to find God's will..but first and foremost..you need to have a healthy daily dose of God's Word.
This is for you Fred..
Romans 12
Romans 12:1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2And
be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God.
IN Christ
