As many of you have read from me, I recently aquired a building and planned on opening a gym/ community center for fitness ( powerlifting my other passion) and to get some of the less fortunate teenagers of the street and into something positive. I am making it a christian based facility which has already caused some waves but I really don't care about the waves. Well to get to the point, my boxing ring came in today so I am very close and excited to begin this venture. I have used many of the " bad kids" to help with work on the building and it seems to have raised their sense of pride. I hope it continues. I am asking for prayer that this venture works, and I truely mean this when I say it I don't care if I make a dime, as long as it pays for it's self and the people have somewhere to go thenI l will be happy. Please pray for my gym, the people who walk into it and that I may keep the LORDS Name in the fore front. by the way the gym slogan in " stregthen thy body to lift GOD'S name higher!". Thank you all for any help and if your in the Pittsburgh area I 'd love for you to stop and check us out. I'll try to keep you all posted.

Yes, I remember your post. Glad to hear things are moving along. Pics and periodic updates would be appreciated. Will continue to pray for you and your endeavor. BTW why are you getting oppostition? I may have to stop in some time and see if any of the guys want to go a few rounds with the champ
as with anything done in the public some people feel as though religion should be left out. but those same people haven't showed up to help with work, pay the bills or even recruit some troubled kids so what they say means nothing to me. Pictures will be added on a regular basis. thanks everyone.

Amen..I'm a public school teacher..This Christmas season I had 2 Christmas carols I taught my student..What Child is This and Joy To The World..I had my U.S.A. map pulled down from the principal...I also had a time line on the back of my writing flip chart explaining to the kids why we have Christmas..I taught the entire month from 4004 B.C. till 2008
The carols were my poems..WE teach a poem weekly to help kids with fluency. I brought my guitar as well. My classroom is a portable..mobile home.

It sounds like you are doing a great thing for the community, I hope GOD blesses you for this, and helps the kids and the community benefit from your efforts. Keep in mind, GOD has a plan, and regardless of how this turns out, HE is with you and that is really all that matters.
