my pastor, Rev. B.L.Blann, went thru the operation well. they had to remove his spleen, which was almost twice the size it should be. the doctor said that it would take up to 4 1/2 hrs., and then came out after only 2 and told the family and those of us that were waiting that he had never had a surgery go so smooth. everything went great, other than the pastor being in a lot of pain. they are giving him morphine, and that doesn't do him any good, according to his wife. they are planning on changing to higher doses of Demerol to bring the pain down some. kinda throws you a bit to see the man that has been there for you thru 4 heart attacks laying there in the bed, and the onlyway you can help is to pray. and believe me, there were prayers going up around the waiting room yesterday!! his wifecouldn't believe the number of people that drove over an hour just to stop in and let them know that they cared, and that they were praying for him. and sheor one of the daughters were on the phone almost the whole time answering questions about the progress of the surgery. just shows how loved this man of God really is.should be out of the hospital by the weekend, but may take a little longer, if pain management becomes an issue. would appreciate your continued prayer for our beloved shepherd. thanks-Bill

Brother Bill, if the Lord is merciful and returns the pastor to the pulpit, remember his words at every service when he gives out the invitational, "Are You Ready"?......Noone knows the Second, Minute, Hour, Day, Week, Month or Year that one is called, Only He Knows.......Brother, I ask you, "Are You Ready"?

Bill; Will continue to pray for a complete recovery.
I like what you say here:
my pastor, Rev. B.L.Blann,
Not the pastor of your assembly, or church, but YOUR pastor. Not just a man voted in and hired to tickle the ears, but a personal gift of God to feed your soul, and to watch overyou as a shepard watches his flock.
