Default Sunday Sermonette
well another day has past in this new year..hope all is going well with you..please pray for the sick and the needy and be a blessing to someone..
Father as we go into your Word may the sweet holy Spirit lead and direct in all that is sad and done..we pray in Jeus name and for his sake, Amen

7 O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.
8 For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.
9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.
10 For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.
11 But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.
12 But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.
13 Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers. Jeremiah 20:7-13 kjv..

Today i received a phone call from a friend who just wanted to talk..he has lost his business, is in deep financial trouble and having serious marital problems..I let him get it off his chest and then i tried to explain that to be a child of God does mean there are not problems but that what comes our way is allowed by God and we have the Spirit of God to provide insight and help us to do that which will honor God by what we are doing. but he didn't want to hear that so he vented on me and hung up on me..The prophet Jeremiah had a very hard message to deliver. With the message came all types of anguish and sadness. For those in authority did not want to hear the Word of God. For the person who has heard the Word of God, the Words of life can only have two outcomes: Repentance and acknowledgement of God's worthiness or hardness of heart and denial of the truth that would set the person free. For Jeremiah it is the second part that the people of Israel responded with. He is treated harshly to the say least and at times, there is sadness and depression that seems overwhelming for the prophet. Yet as you read the Scriptures above, pay special attention to verse 9. He does not want to say anything, but everything within him is on fire to share the truth of God. but that is the trouble with people today, they do't want to hear the truth, they want you to tell them oh it's not your fault, it's the people around you.. but we as children of God, should have the same desire and within us should burn the same fire to share the Words of truth. Jesus is the truth and His Word is pure and good.. the people were headed into captivity, just as my friend is in captivity to discouagement, anger and defeat.. so we must see that without the Life Changing message of Jesus, people are doomed. May God open each of our eyes to see and be his hands, tongue and feet to lost and dying world..

Father thanks again for all you have done for us and for what you will do if we will but put our trust and faith in you.. and father save the lost and help the needy and we'll thank you in Jesus name, amen

God will always give us the strength to deal with whatever we encounter.
