Default Sunday Sermonette

Well howdy all and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to ya..I'm looking forward to the new year and it is my prayer that you all have a wonderful, healthy and prosperous year..please pray for those of us who feeling kinda poorly that God will reach down his healing hands and touch and heal us..He is the Great Physcian ya know..

Father we do thank you for all you do for us and i do pray for the sick and needy that you will supply their needs.. in Jesus name i pray, Amen

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 1Timothy 2:1-8 kjv.
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

We have just celebrated one of the most wonderful times we will ever celebrate on this old earth, birth of Jesus the Christ, our Lord and Saviour... This is only followed by the death and resurrection of Jesus. Now if we could be born again and then go to heaven, that would be great. Yet, though God has created us to worship and give all grace unto the Father through the Son, God has things for us to accomplish here upon earth. The Scripture above is so full of what it means to live in Jesus, that we could spend the rest of our days accomplishing what is written here and never really do the full justice to what is revealed to us here. if you will notice in verse one he mentions prayer. we need to pray for one another, and yes pray for our needs as there is nothing to big or to small for God and He wants to answer our prayers..oh how many times i have had him carry this ole man through the storms of life.. and God wants all men to be saved. He wants us to pray for ALL and especially for those in positions of authority. Now no where do we see if you are a Republican, you are to pray for Republicans, but if we are really following the path God has for us, then a Republican is praying very hard for each and every Democrat or Independent as he prays for those Republicans seeking office. One never knows how an individual will be affected or touched by God. Remember our God is the Creator of all things and has power over all things. There is nothing that does pass by Him that is a surprise or an accident. As we enter into these last days of 2007, may God lay upon our hearts to pray and be ready to be used by Him where ever He takes us. have a great week-end and a Happy New Year and please, tell someone about Jesus ...

Father we thank you for this past year you have given us and pray that this coming year will even be greater..Lord if there is one here lost may thy sweet Holy Spirit bring them to that saving knowledge and we will thank you and love you i Jesus name,Amen
