Default What a Christmas

Best Christmas in a long time. Most of you know that my wife"™s son ( Tyler) molested my granddaughter when she was three years old and he got three years on prison, he"™s out now and living with us. This year was hard because we couldn"™t have any of the children over to our house like we normally do. He"™s not allowed to be around anyone under 17 years old. This has been very hard for my wife and me.
Any way everyone had Christmas with their own family this morning, and this evening we gathered at my son Joshua"™s home for dinner and to exchange presents. At nights end, we took presents to my daughter house because they didn"™t have room enough in their car. When we got finished unloading my daughter Jackie came out with an envelope and gave it to my wife, it was addressed to Tyler, my step son that in now a registered sex offender. My wife hugged Jackie and cried, because of the hard feeling between all involved. When we got home Tyler opened the card and of course it was a Christmas card, but it had with money inside. She signed it love Jackie. ( I know this took a lot of courage and showed what Christmas is all about)
Since all this happened it has almost destroyed our family, but through the love of God, Jackie is forgiving him and trying to carry on with her life, even though Tyler and Jackie"™s family are never allowed by law to communicate.
Jackie told us she has been praying hard about this, and with God"™s grace, she knows she had to extend her forgiveness and go on with her life. My wife and I were not expecting this at all. It"™s amazing how God can mend those broken hearts and dreams. Even if we all can never sit down for Thanksgiving or Christmas ever, this puts us back together on the right track to recovery.
I just wanted to share this with you, my other family. This is truly the best Christmas in years, because I personally can see God working in our family.
Ya"™ll keep me in our prayers; I have to work real hard on forgiveness too. It"™s the hardest thing I"™ve ever been through, even harder that seeing my late wife die of cancer.

My friend i will be praying daily for this closure to come about..I will be saying a special prayer for you, that God will give you that peace in your heart that can only come from Him.. only God can mend a broken heart, but we have to give him all the pieces..

Thank you brother Wayne. I've learned more this year, than I ever did in any Bible school. I had to learn to TRUST him unconditionly, for things that were not in my control. He's such an awesome God!

We'll pray for a continued reconciliation and also that your stepson can get the help he needs to learn to control those urges.
