Default Another beautiful Chistmas

Our first with Miriam. We trimmed our tree yesterday, then we had our traditional cheese omelettes for supper. (We don't eat meat on Christmas Eve.) Then we went to the midnight mass. Miriam always seems to be nursing when we go up in the Communion line. The priest has figured out that her head is right above where I hold my hand so she got her blessing. We had a little glass of wine and some cookies that I MADE when we got home, and then to bed.

We exchanged gifts this morning and then I made waffles and sausage for breakfast. First time I have ever made waffles. They turned out pretty good. It's a beautiful day today and we are both so thankful for our little family.

I'm having fun checking in with my friends here on this forum now and then. Mom and dad, that is, my new stepfather, are going to stop by later and this weekend we are going to visit my new grandparents again.

Hey Sis, I love the way that you are always counting your blessings. I think that we should daily realize and be thankful for the blessings in our lives and it seems that you are the same way.
This yr I am especially thankful as I have a wonderful wife to share the season with and my daughter and grandchildren are home with me. It's great to watch children get up on christmas morning and attack the tree again. Also, I'm greatly blessed in that I am 57 yrs old and I'm getting ready to go spend part of the day with my Dad and Mom who are in their 80's and doing well.
Bless you guys in the name that is above every name . . .Jesus the Christ. And Merry Christmas!!!

I know it is hard to imagine but it is going to get even better. Just wait until that lil' one of yours learns how to wish for presents and starts asking for clues or gets it in their head that they know what they are getting. This year all my kids wanted for Christmas was rollerblades. And my Ariel also asked for a scooter. (She forgot to pick hers up and Josh leaves when it is dark and has to back out of the driveway[&:]) We got all three of them rollerblades. I sat them on the floor and gave them each their big box and said open them at the same time. Nikolai our three year old wanted to watch and them open his until............Ariel ripped the main part of the paper back and he yelled I got rollerblades and tore the paper off of the box so fast. It was great. Because we live in MN and there is snow and cold my kids have been rollerblading in my kitchen and loving it.
Theyall begged for baths too since we loaded their stockings with bubblebath, foam soap, crayons, bath fizzies that change the water colors, and fizzie balls with a surprise inside. We built a Lincoln Log town and watched a movie, ate popcorn. It was great.

I am glad you enjoyed Christmas and I am looking forward to posts as Miriam grows and you bubble with joy with every new thing that she does which seems like every hour. Babies/children are a blessing and they should be celebrated. Hug her lots and always praise her for the good things that she does. Make a healthy habit of it when she is a baby and it will be easier when she is going through one of those pushing buttons testing my limits phases sneek up on you.
