Default Sunday Sermonette

Good morning all and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all.. please pray for the sick and those in need of encouragement..and as the old adage goes, let's all remember the reson for the season..

Father thank you for your precious Word, may it be a blessing to someone today and i ask you to reach down your loving hands and heal the sick according to your perfect will..i ask this in Jesus name, amen..

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Matt.1:18-25 kjv.

what started out with a miraculous birth, with child conceived of the Holy Ghost, brought to the world the greatest micacle maker the world has ever seen..do you believe in miracles? O i do..everytime i hear a new born cry, another miracle has been performed..when i see someone cured of cancer i thank God for another miracle, dear friends there are many things that we take for granted that can only come from the power of almighty God..this Christmas time let's not be so excited about all the gifts around the tree but let's keep our thoughts on the reason for the season..let's not be too concerned about when He was born but on the fact that He was born and become our Lord and Saviour, Jesus the Christ..Amen..
in verse 23 of our text it says they will call the child Immanuel, meaning God with us..what a wonderful peace to have in our heart and soul knowing that our Lord is with us where ever we go.Amen.. i often think about the two who were walking down the road to emmaus going to Jerusalem after the resurrection..they were sad and didn't know what was happening and then all at once Jesus dropped in on them and started preaching the scriptures to them..He must of been a Baptist.. and after that sermon, it says in verse 28,"and they drew nigh to the village and Jesus would have went on if they hadn't of asked Him to eat with them.. boy that's just like Jesus to drop in on ya when ya least expect it and take away the doubts and the fears and the discouagement. dearly beloved we serve a wonderful Saviour!!!!!!!!!!!
up until now they didn't know who He was but while they were eating there eyes were opened and they knew him and He then vanished..younknow there are millions of people today whose eyes are blinded to who Jesus is..o, yes, they know of him but they don't have a personel relationship with Him..that is why it is so important that we spread the good news that Jesus is alive and well and will soon be coming for his bride..will you be numbered among the crowd? It is my prayer that you will..all you have to do is hear the gospel, believe it, repent of your sins and ask Jesus to come into your life and save you..

Father, thank you for your Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins and if there is one here today that is lost may this be their day of salvation..in Jesus precios name i pray, Amen..

Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, of that free love
The breadth, length, depth, and height to prove,
Here for a season, then above,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
