Default We're back!

Quite an adventure driving in the snow. Four-wheel drive is a great thing. My mom was right. My new grandparents are really nice and so are my new "brothers."

Everyone loved Miriam. I had a hard time getting her back from everyone holding her. She loved it though. She loves it when people hold her and fuss over her.

We had a wonderful home-cooked dinner. They made a point of avoiding onions and garlic too.

I was a wonderful day. Made me very happy to have a family like this.

Life is not without glitches though. When we got back, the snowblower wouldn't start and my husband had to shovel the sidewalks by hand. And we live on a corner lot to make it even worse. Lucky thing he's strong as an ox.

That's when your hubby needs a good neighbor and a 12-pack of beer (for after the neighbor blows snow off your sidewalks).

We're the only ones with a big snowblower. He usually does most of the neighbors. The lady next door brings us pies on the holidays. Good pies too.

Glad you made it safe and sound. Temps got in the 20's here, but supposed to be back in the mid 60's in the next day or three.

What is snow?[8D]

It's like fluffy rain that lays on the ground and keeps it from freezing deep and killing the roots of your roses and other bushes.

It also gives you a good excuse to use your snowshoes to walk on top of it.

Yea, we had a high a couple of days ago in the 20's. We are now in the midst of a hear wave, between storms, and got into the 40's yesterday. Another series of storms lined up for this week with a 60% chance of snow today.

I would love to ONLY have to shovel the sidewalks! My driveway alone is 1/4 mile long and steep at the bottom. I have a plow for my tractor (manged to break the top off my well head with it last week [:@][:@][:@]), but I have to finish off the bottom part and the sidewalks with a shovel, so, like I said, I'd love to have that problem!

glad everything worked out well for ya. I know what you mean about the 4WD. We HAVE to have it here.

BTW- it was 19 here this morning when I went hunting!

For a box of wine my neighbor brings the bobcat over and does my whole driveway. Our lot is just over an acre and our driveway goes over half the way back.Makes me one happy lady when it snows and Josh is at work, it takes me 3 hours to shovel out if the plow hasn't come by.
