Default Sunday Sermonette

Good morning all,. isn't it great to be alive and be able to celebrate our LIVING Lord and Saviour..remember to pray for the sick and our service people who are fighting for our freedom to worship as do..

Father we come to you humbly, seeking your help..some are sick, some are discouraged and many are lone..so please rech down you loving arms and may you perfect will be done in each one and we will thank you in Jesus name Amen..

4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour
Psalm112:4-9 kjv.
have you noticed that as we grow older most of our unhappiness comes from our wanting the good old days back..ya know, back when we had good health, plenty of money, and a little power..but things of this world won't last..things change and maybe in the later years they are taken away from us..most of our money is gone, we have pain and we are weak and feel all alone..I know, this don't happen to everybody but i would say it does happen to the majority..yep the storms of life will come to the rich and the poor..then when we realize that the things of the world are unprdictable we go looking for something that will last..What is left? the Psalmist wrote in verse 9 of our text, "His (God's) righteousness endures forever"It is untouched by time or anything that happens in life..Praise the Lord!!!! nothing in this old sin sick world can take it away..Amen..dear friends, his righteousness is ours when we draw near to God through faith in Jesus Christ..
Paul writes, in Romans 3:21-26
"But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ JesuWhom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus"
He is our rock and our salvation and the only one we can get that peace that passeth all understanding, that joy unspeakable and full of glory. yes my friends He is all we need ..What a wonderf Saviour!
delight in the lord and in His Word, and you will find true happiness..He alone offers a righteousness that lasts for all eternity..

Father thank you for that promise that if we come to you, you will give us that true righteousness..and Father if there is someone here that does not have it, may this be their day..we love you and we pray in Jesus name and for his sake, Amen..

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus"™ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus"™ Name.
Refrain
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
Refrain
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.
Refrain
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
