Growing up it was just my mom and me. Well last summer, my mom got married and her husband said he would really like it if I called him dad, which I really liked. So now I have a mom and dad.
Tomorrow I'm meeting his parents and his two sons, home from college. I really wanted to call them grandma and grandpa so I posted something on the other forum about it and most everyone suggested I call them Mr. and Mrs. Well I talked to my mom about it and I asked her not to say anything. Well she told dad, my stepdad. (Sheeessh, mothers!) Well he called his parents and they said they would be really happy if I called them grandma and grandpa.
My mom has met them and she says they're really, really nice. They made fun of how little she is but it was all good-natured.
So now I have a FAMILY just like most everybody else.
I know I don't deserve all this, a mom and dad, two brothers, grandparents, and a healthylittle daughter all in the same year.
