Any Parents Tell Their Kids the Truth About Santa?
I was just wondering how many of you told your kids that Santa is a fictional character and how many told them he is real? I kinda got "into it" with a church lady Sunday because my kids know he's fictional. They know not to blow the whistle and ruin it for other kids, but if an adult asks them directly, they are honest. We still read all the stories about Santa, they just don't think he's coming down the chimney. We wanted the kids to know the real Christmas story is the only one.

We have no problem with it. Both of our parents let us believe in Santa until we got old enough to realize it was just a fantasy. It didn't do us any harm.

I was studying with JW's at the time our kids were little. And they have a good its teaching a Lie. So I told our kids the truth. It didn't hurt them and I can't remember how I felt when I was told. The Tooth Fairy, Easter Rabbit, Elvs, Santa, Rudoff with a Red Nose, and they can Fly. I don't think we should put our kids threw that.....

I remember realizing that there really is no Santa Claus. It was no big deal. When I mentioned it to my mom, she just told me not to tell the kids who still believed, to let them figure it out for themselves.

My wife has always displayed Nativity Sets around the Christmas tree, even before my son was born and still does. From a small child he always admired the nativity Sets and reminded his mother about them. When he was small, we would hand him the presents and tell him who gave the Christmas giftto him. We would always save the one he would expect the most, the one from mom & dad!

We always emphasized the true meaning of Christmas to our kids when they were little. We didn't discount the idea of Santa Claus, we just didn't make a big deal out of it. We knew they would figure it out soon enough - and they did.

the meaning of Christmas is the second most important day in history in my opinion and a lot of parents make Jesus share his birthday with a lie.
My parents taught me that there was no satan clause as soon as i could talk. my wife and idid the same to our children.
I bet that those that say they let their kids believethe santalie and also tell the truth about Jesus, and you ask those kids "why do we have Christmas?" 90% of them will tell you the lie. I've seen it.
