Default Sunday Sermonette

Howdy all.. a beautiful day here in central fl.,sun is shining brightly and 62* temp..God is good isn't He? please pray for the sick and needy and a special prayer for our missionaries and our men and women in the service of our country as i know they are no doubt homesick as Christmas is fast approaching..
Father we do thank you for all you do for us and for your love and longsuffering..for those who are sick and discouraged, i pray you will reach down and touch them with your healing hand and comfort them as only you can.. we love you and thank and we ask these things in Jesus name and for His sake, Amen..

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

All too often our human nature wants to get in the last word or maybe even insure that someone else comes back with the words: "I am sorry. Will you forgive me?" Yet as children of God, we are held to a different standard and must make sure that we are seeking what the Holy Spirit has for us and not just our own desires. We must be ready and willing to take whatever time is necessary to get things right. The one relationship that most of us are involved in is a marriage relationship. As we walk the path that God has for us, we will have differences of opinion and some times we may even be at odds with our spouse and angry words or actions can be the result of that. We must understand that we do not have an option, but must make every effort to get the relationship right and back on track. We must see this in this most important relationship and it carries over into all other relationships that we are involved in.and my friends that includes the time we spend on the net in the debates we have.. We must never give the enemy a toe hold or we will not be as effective as God wants us to be. it may seem minor, but if there is an uneasiness in your spirit, work at getting things take care of. Another week is almost gone and we are in to the last month of the year and 2008 is upon us. let's start the new year by talking more about Jesus and the gospel and slack up on the minor things.. lets tell people how to get born again and then how to live for Christ..ya know, salvation is the beginning of a new life, so we must follow Jesus and not the world, Amen..

Father we thank you for your Word and may it reach our hearts and we can be better servants of you..And Father if there is one here today that does not have that hope of eternal life may this be there day..in Jesus name we pray,Amen

Troublesome times are here, filling men's hearts with fear,
Freedom we all hold dear now is at stake;
Humble your heart to God save from the chastening rod,
Seek the way pilgrims trod, Christians awake.

Jesus is coming soon, morning or night or noon,
Many will meet their doom, trumpets will sound;
All of the dead shall rise, righteous meet in the sky,
Going where no one dies, heavenward bound.

Troubles will soon be o'er, happy for ever more,
When we meet on that shore, free from all care;
Rising up in the sky, telling this world good-bye,
Homeward we then shall fly, glory to share.

Well, Jesus is coming soon, morning or night or noon,
Many will meet their doom, trumpets will sound;
All of the dead shall rise, righteous meet in the sky,
Going where no one dies, heavenward bound.

Jesus is coming soon, morning or night or noon,
Many will meet their doom, trumpets will sound;
All of the dead shall rise, righteous meet in the sky,
Going where no one dies, heavenward bound.
