Default Redeeming Nature of God

The redeeming nature of God.

During my Bible studies the other day, I noticed something that I have overlooked for years. There in plain sight, right in front of my nose. There it was, like a deer in the head lights, just waiting to be gleaned and digested.
When the manifestation of sin crept into man"s (I"m speaking of both Adam and Eve) they were consumed with shame. A that moment man lost his innocence, and discovered he was naked. No one had to tell them they were naked, human nature had fully been spawned, and human nature was going to take over. By nature man try"s to hide his shame and wrongdoings.
Did Adam and Eve try to cover their exposed private areas, or were they trying to cover their sin? It was their sin they were covering up, their nakedness had always been there, and sin is what made their nakedness feel shameful.
This is the earliest account of sin is found in Genesis chapter three, but the good news is the earliest record of God"s redeeming nature is found in the same chapter. We tend to over look this fact because Genesis chapter three is full of many stunning facts. God curses the serpent, and made to crawl on its belly. Woman is cursed with pain during child bearing, man must now toil in the fields and ultimately exiled from the Garden for life, kicked out of the presence of God.
In the mist of all these actions, God shows His love and compassion when He demonstrates his redeeming nature. Setting up and preparing us for the Sacrificial Lamb that is to come. In Genesis 3: 9-10 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, "Where were you?" So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself." Adam and Eve tried to cover their sin with leaves, and then God saw what they had done. Instantly God asked, "Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you that you should not eat?"
The thing that hit me right between the eyes like a hammer was that God, even though He (God) must have been deeply hurt, clothed them with skins, in verse 21. God had taken an innocent animal and put it to death in order to cover mans sin! Oh, what a revelation, this was to me. God was not only demonstrating his redeeming nature and love for us, but He was preparing us for the ultimate Sacrificial Lamb that was to come in the form of Jesus Christ. Wow, how many times have I read this, and how many times have I overlooked it. Blood had to be shed for the remission of sin.
1 Peter 1:19-20 But with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these times for you.
This is powerful to me; I just wanted to share this with you my friends. That God before even putting all this into existence already knew our undermining and deceitful nature. Yet even with our shortcomings, He provided a means in which he and us could remain connected with Him forever! He provided for us a free gift, even before he spoke us into existence.

What an Amazing God we serve!

Brother Rev, I'm telling you, you better careful or you are going to be converted!! Just kidding.
It is funny in a odd sort of way, how that God reveals things unto us and we wonder how we could have overlooked something so plain and simple. Can you imagine Paul's thoughts when God revealed the mystery to him? Scriptures that I committed to memory 40 years ago, are constantly revealing new nuggets of truth today.
The bible is as old as the hills, yet is as new as the morning paper.
