Good morning to all and hope this finds you well and rejoicing in the Lord..we serve a wonderful Saviour, Amen? it's raining here in central fl. and we need it, that you God for all you do for us..I am sure some of us are discouraged and down hearted and maybe going through a storm of life health wise or financially or other wiseso let's pray for one another..
Dear Heavenly Father we come before your throne of grace today asking you to heal the sick and afflicted, take away the discouragement and comfort those who are going through hard times and we will thatnk you and love you in Jesus precious name Amen..
12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.2 Peter 1:12-21kjv.
Here in our text today Peter writes we are to remember those things we are taught and to hide the Word of God in our heart to always be prepared to give answer.for the hope that is within us..he goes on to say in verse two, yea man as long as i am preaching in this church i'm going to stir you up.. dear friends, that's what we need in our churches today is preachers that will stir you up with the true gospel of Jesus The Christ..too many preachers today preach what the people want to hear not what God wants them to hear..they won't preach against sin or the precious blood of Jesus that was spilled at Calvary..oh my dear friends without the shedding of blood we would all go to hell..i read somewhere that whan a new preacher came to pastor the church an old lady said oh you'll do just fine as long as you don't talk too much about the blood..his answer was," maam, don't worry, i can't talk too much about the blood." i like that kinda preacher man..Amen...then Peter goes on in verses 20-21 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost". he is saying believe the prophets of the old test. as well as the apostles in the new test..
then there is the opposite of the true prophecy found in Chapter 3:1-3,
"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."
there are many on TV. today that are teaching and preaching a false doctrine, deceiving millions of God's people....we must be very discerning in who we listen too..some deny the existence of Jesus and others say they are Jesus..
Father thank you again for all you do and if there is one here today that is lost and hell bound may this be their day of salvation..in Jesus name we pray and for His sake, Amen

True words motor,,,Our church is looking for a new pastor the old one retired and I will be putting in my 2 cents when enterviewing a replacement ,,That He's not a sugar coater,, that He preaches the bible, Word of God,and no more. And pray that God will clear the way and make short the path for the one that is right for the task.
