BACKGROUND

We hunted up in Clark Co. for 19 years. The lady who owned the farm where we hunted was a member of the Church. My Bro-In-Law met her and they were having a bad year. And she asked how they were doing. He said no good and she asked him to come over and hunt. Nighteen years later her son did not want to let us hunt on the farm because the Farmer did'nt want us there. So we didn't get to go back till this year. My son has always wanted to go back and hunt there. I tryed 3-4 years ago without any luck.

It just happened this year that the Farmer who know Rented the land was the guy who leased it when we hunting those 19 years. And he was Sub-Leasing to hunters and we got a place back to hunt

We made two trips up their to sign and pay the lease.

Deer Season Day One....My son had to work ( So I took my Son-in-Law and Grandson who is 7. We had a good time but NO DEER, didn't really see that many. Where we use to hunt looked the bestHowever, was leased to another hunter. I met him and he let me know I was on his Lease Ground[:@]I told him I wasn't hunting the field but that it was easier walking for a Old 60 year old

So we came home disapointedGrandson Said "I thought you said their was a lot of Deer up here...LoL" So I took the Grandson to Honey Hole in Leasburg Mo. and he got 2 shots at Doe's and Missed. Ikidded him a little and by night he was crying telling his Mom that Grandpa made FUN of him....LoL The Stress was to much

My Son called Sunday Night and said his job was done and he wanted to go hunting. So we head up North for the Last two days of the season. Monday morning my son spots a Huge Buck from the Truck close to our old hunting spot. We hunt that morning and don't see anything[X(]We are coming out of the Lease land and we meet the Man who has the Farm and Big Lease. We talk for a while and he says if you guys want to you go over and hunt the field. That they were not going to hunt and were done....Yes..2 Thumbs Up I gave him. I asked the son if we were going there and he said he was going back to the other side and would pick my up at a Little after five. I walk down to our old stand and my mind go back when the kids were 9 and 10 and the Deer we had seen. I looked my watch and it was about quarter till five.
When I see this Deer walking along the side of a hill coming mu direction. I put the gun up and I see its a Buck. I think its coming from the direction where my son saw that big buck. Then I lost it, it went down low and came up on top of another ridge heading Directly at me[8D]It go's down yet into another dip and all I can see is the tips of it's Horns. This time when he comes up He's looking Straight at me. My Cross Hairs are on his Breast, But I rememberd Not getting one I shot there once. So I moved over to his Right, My Left and Squeesed the trigger, He didn't fall and all I could do was watch him run away. He ran down hill for 100 yards and Fell. I could not believe it 20 years had passed and 200 yards from where I killed a 151 3/8, 8 Pointer here is a 11 Point.

MORE TO COME

Congratulations! That's a really beautiful buck.

It'll be great when we can hunt again.
