Default Sunday Sermonette

greetings all, hope and pray all is well with you today..i know you all are looking forward to next week, i know i am..our family will gather here at home for the feast of the year please pray for those who are sick and the discouaged and down hearted that God will supply their every need according to His will..

Father thank you for all you do for us and i do pray for the needs of thy people..i pray especially for the family of my dear friend Bro. Thomas who went home to be with you..thank you that someone sometime took the time to tell him the gospel story and i pray that will be the desire of our hearts to spread the good news that Jesus saves..we ask these things i Jesus name, Amen

12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 corin.3:12-18 kjv.

Th Word tells us that God wants all of us to come to repentance, but He has given us free will. and boy have we taken advantage of it.. with all the sin in this world our heart can be blinded or veiled as it says in our Scripture above. for us to think that we can come to God at any time and whenever we want, is very, very dangerous and wrong. If you can sense the presence of the Spirit of God pulling at your heart and turn the other way, you are walking down a very dangerous and possibly fatal path. how many of the people of Israel when they came out of the land of Egypt and were over twenty years old were thinking about the promised land and what they were going to do there? yet, for that generation only two men came into the land that God had promised. why? they failed every test that God had set before them and they hardened their heart and they did not get in. for a person to say, I will get right with God on another day and at another time, is presuming that you control your own destiny. how many of you reading this have said, i'll get saved when i am a little older? what you are saying is, i'm having to much fun sinning and i don't want to stop now..you know if we keep saying no the Holy Spirit will stop wooing us and then we are in trouble..the bible says to not grieve the Holy Spirit..Jesus said in Matt.10:14, "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet" in other words there will come a time when people will give up on you...God is in complete control and if man hardens his heart and does not want to hear the Words of Life, then man will have to stand in that day before a Holy and Righteous God and answer for those actions. don't turn your back on God, but let's allow the Spirit of God to show us the right path and follow Him! have a great weekend and tell someone about Jesus..

Heavenly father we thank you for Calvary and thank you for Jesus who died on that old rugged cross that we who believe in Him can have eternal life..and Father if there is one here today that is lost and without a Saviour may this be their day of salvation..we love you and thank you in Jesus precious name, Amen..

I don't know about tomorrow,
I just live from day to day.
I don't borrow from it's sunshine,
For it's skies may turn to gray.
I don't worry o'er the future,
For I know what Jesus said,
And today I'll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.

Refrain

Many things about tomorrow,
I don't seem to understand;
But I know Who holds tomorrow,
And I know Who holds my hand.

Ev'ry step is getting brighter,
As the golden stairs I climb;
Ev'ry burden's getting lighter;
Ev'ry cloud is silver lined.
There the sun is always shining,
There no tear will dim the eyes,
At the ending of the rainbow,
Where the mountains touch the sky.

Refrain

I don't know about tomorrow,
It may bring me poverty;
But the One Who feeds the sparrow,
Is the One Who stands by me.
And the path that be my portion,
May be through the flame or flood,
But His presence goes before me,
And I'm covered with His blood.

Refrain

Great word Motor,,,,,I have a friend that says he will come to the Lord just before he dies,I told him why wait! he said he,s not ready.I told him I hope you don,t die instantly in a car wreck or in your sleep, you may run out of time. He just laughed. The lure of sin and earthly things is a vail or blinding as you said to the turth that can truely set us free!

it is not to take the place of going to church..it is for those who can't get out or for those who just love to study God's Word..may it be a blessing to someone..

Thanks Bro Motor for being faithful with this wkly sermonette. I'm still saving each one. What I like about these is that in some way they are always an exortation to follow Christ. I believe in rebuking false doctrine, but one thing we should all be able to agree on regardless of our doctrine is that it's all in Jesus and it's all about Jesus. Without Christ, and without His sweet Holy Spirit dwelling in us we have no chance of knowing truth. God bless your efforts each week.
