Default I attended a Funeral of a Friend tonight

75-100 People were taught wrong tonight. All I could do was listen.

Preacher told his family that JOE had asked him HOW TO DIE?

Preacher said he read part of the 23 Psalms to him. (I like to know what part he left out)? And asked him if he knew where he was going? He said yes.

Told him wrong and everyone one who wasat the Funeral.

Miss Quoted Jo. 3: 16 Shall Be Saved, instead of Should be Saved. I think I will have a talk with the preacher.

Very sorry for the loss of your friend TF. I lost one of my best friends back in August.

Besides the obvious, one of the reasons I hate going to funerals is often there's at least one preacher there who does his best to "preach" the deceased into heaven.

I know it's not my place to judge, but give me a break. I can understand wanting to comfort the family, but some of these guys would make better politicians than preachers, IMO.

I've often said John 3:16 is probably the most misused and abused verse in the Bible, for that very reason--changing that one little word.

Sorry for your loss, I know it was tough. Who knows if the preacher is new, nervous, or just dumb ... Some of us make mistakes. I officiated one of my best friends funeral several years ago, I loved this man like my own dad. I was not only nervous, but I was so choked up with tears it was hard at times to keep on. I was honored to send him away.

Sorry for your loss brother. It upsets me also to hear the way preachers talk sometimes. Talk to him but more importantly pray for him. Preaching in general is hard enough for someone because of the pressure of the lifestyle you live, I hear funerals are the worst to speak at. Hopefully that Pastor will be humble and he will open his heart to your concerns. You never know you may be his answer to prayer. Read Rebs verse of the day and it may help you in this unsettling task.

Thanks Everyone for your kind Words. Yeah, Funerals are hard. As we were walking out this Gentalman with a Handelbar Mustash said I was sure glad to hear that preacher say what he did.

Rev if these Death Bed Confessions get anymore popular you will be out of a job. )
