Her baptismal name is Miriam Magdalen, the same as mine, but her middle name on her birth certificate is my maiden name, which is ***anese. My husband's idea. He thought it would be a good idea to give her a connection with her heritage.
My mom and stepdad were her sponsors. A little unusual but we're a little unusual.
Her eyes opened and she looked around kind of startled when the priest poured the water over her head. But then she went right back to a contented snooze.
We are very happy today.
