brother, i am very aware of what you are going through, i struggle with lust a lot. i will be praying for you. try "bouncing" your eyes...we tend to look at things we know we shouldnt, even just a sexy ad or something, try to get away from them. remember, all women are our sisters and we should treat them with that kind of respect! stay strong!

I can also identify with you.Porn seems to burn those images in your mind.

A.Remember..Christ blood can also forgive this sin when you confess it.

B. This is a real battle...You will need to walk with Christ daily to get th evictory..Here are some things I find that help from greatest to least.

1. Fast daily..eat one meal per day..trust me..eatting and porn have a lot in common..they are both selfish desires.
Just drink water until dinner time...

2. Pray daily for God's deliverance and read the Word daily at least one chapter.

3. Limit your TV watching..be very selective..Proverbs says seductive women catch us with their eyes..

4. Some programs make it easy to find porn..AOL does not..You have to pay for it...I had my wife take off Firefox..they make porn very simple to get on..

The fasting should work my friend...it deadens your flesh...you will need to do this the rest of your life..Paul said" I die daily" Jesus said"Take up your cross daily..

I'm speaking from experience here...Porn takes the big guns..

There are many blessings from fasting Fred...I'm at school so will only list a couple.

Triples your faith
Joy and peace come to stay.
Love is easy
Not getting on porn is easy too.
Quick weight loss if you need to lose

5. Stop drinking alcohol .

6. Don't hang around dirty talking people.

7. Listen to godly music..
God bless,
C7

PS Marrage does not cure the problem..Your wife will not want to be treated like a w h o r e . You must be free from this garbage..We can be free and stay free my friend..

I do understand. I'm recently "upped the anty" on my eyes/mind purity. I never realized how lustful I was. It can't be done by our own will and discipline. Chuck has given solid advice. It makes no sense to our natural minds, but that stuff works. Turn the TV off. Turn it OFF!! You will not fall out of the loop. Ever girl is someone's daughter. God knit her together and cares FIERCELY for her. Usually the ones who are trying hardest to get are attentions are also the ones who are hurting the worse, no matter how happy they seem. Ask God to show you HIS heart for her.

The biggest thing is to never give up. Find a group of guys who are serious Christians. Get plugged into their group. Doesn't matter if you fit in, give it some time.

Trust me, I do understand. I've been so lust-driven at times in my life I honestly doubt you could top it.

Very good seeing Soilarch back with us.

Fred , we all know how ya feel.I've been literaaly shaking as I was typing in the pornagraphic words...and then you feel that filthy cold dark black presense of Satan...and when you try to sleep it's like those images keep showing up..Porn is a monster..it's the complete opposite of holiness. BUT you must do something because it is now a strong hold in your life....and yes Gal. 5 says those who do these things "Will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven."

I was blessed to have run into a young man who had th esame problem as us yet twice as powerfuil...He had totally givein himself over to that spirit..AND was freed. In 1979 I was privledged to meet david..will post a picture. He is presently a missoinary. Another Christian who happensto be a famous singer who is Steve Green..He was freed from porn as well. Anyway back to David K ---- . David showed me by example how to be free. He was a walking Bible.

David lived a fasted life stle of one meal a day..and then that one being a vegetatarian meal. Paul speaks of those in Romans 14 who have weakened their faith {"Of eatting herbs only" } I've also adopted a similiar lifestyle..only because I saw the consistant difference it made in hi slife..Also, I took a long vacation from having a relationship with my wife...to start over again and learn ot love her th ecorrect way. heaven is real,,,and if there are problems in our lives we need to take care of them now..on this side of glory.

Fasting daily is the only cure I know Fred that works..it seems to deaden the flesh JUST enough to leave the TV off, not to surf the web, teh images in your mind leave ..and Jesus promiced "If ye walk in the light as He is in the light HIS blood cleanses you FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS."

anyway...here's a picture of the young man that modeled for me how to break the chains of porn..He honestly was a walking Bible. ..I'm not kidding. .He never joked or jested..he shared Christ Jesus whereever he went ...He seemed to have no fear. ..and his problem was much deeper than yours and mine. The long beeard..LOL he loved the Old Testament prophets and triedto model them...He was my best man at my wedding .Here is David. The lady is my mom..the sad face is me..I've just had 4 wisdom teeth pulled and I just married the wrong women.David triedto warn me..I didn't listen.I have been very privledged to have met some of God's best throughout my life..I believe that happened for a reason.

Amen Chuck.

Deerhunter, there is some excellent books out their to read on this problem, most of which are to be read alongside the Bible. I recently read "Every Young Mans Battle" by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoeker. They have written a series of book for Men, ranging from all ages, I would strongly suggest getting into one of those books, and if possible, do it with another Christian so you all can discuss it!

Only in Christ will you be freed my friend!

Psychologists say that it takes 30 days to start a habit. Strive to make living porn-free a habit. You've been given some great advise by your brothers. We all want to see you free from this bondage. Take it one day at a time.
I struggled with alcohol for over 30 years, the first 30 days were hard, then the next 30 got easier to deal with, now you couldn't force me to take a drink.

The devil has taken something beautiful that God created between man and wife and has perverted it. He (the devil) is a liar, and can only imitate what God has created.

God put that sexual desire within all men, we are responsible to control it within the confines of marriage.

Great word there Rev...this is correct..reminds me of this verse.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
