Default Sunday Sermonette

Good morning you all..hope you have been blessed with a wonderful week and have a great week-end..I have never in my life seen such evil deeds in this old USA..murder rape, drugs are at the highest they have ever been and they can't stop it..but we know someone who can so we need to fervently pray for our country that God will intervene and put it back on track..and then pray for one another, i know i need your prayers and i'm sure others do also..

Father we come to you today with humble hearts, not understanding why things like this happen but we do know that we must put our trust in you and lean not on our own understanding... we thank you for all you do in Jesus name Amen..
.
9 Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.
10 For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
11 I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.
12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.
13 For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life. 14 But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.
15 My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
16 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.
17 Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.
18 Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.
19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
20 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
21 Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.
22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.
23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. 24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,all ye that hope in the LORD.Psalm 31:9-24 kjv

Are you my friend being broken today? has the dearest thing in your life been torn away? if so just remember if you could see why this is happening from God's standpoint you would be praising him..the best things that happen to us are not those that come from us having our way but by letting God have his way, Amen? although sometimes the trials and tribulations and sorrows seem hard and cruel it is the way God's love is proven and in the end will be the best for us..many times in my life things have happened that i didn't understand but it always worked out ok in the end and i'm still going after 78 years..remember we have the Lord's promise,
"For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." Psa.84:11 For a Christian, wholeness only comes after brokenness. remember the old adage,"Only God can mend a broken heart but you have to give him all the pieces." but it seems like we want to hold on to somethings, discouragement, forgiveness, bitterness, yes there are many things that keep us from getting that peace and joy that can only come from God..remember David, he had lost that peace and joy and he asked the Lord to return to him the joy of his salvation and of course he did..we serve a loving merciful God..

Father we again thank you for your precious Word and may it bring peace to our hearts..and Father if ther be one here today that is lost and hell bound, may this be their day of salvation..in Jesus name and for his sake i pray amen..

What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Chorus

Leaning, leaning,
(Leaning on Jesus, leaning on Jesus)
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
(Leaning on Jesus, leaning on Jesus)
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Chorus

What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Chorus

Amen brother Wayne. I was telling my wife how this county is falling apart. When an individual takes their eyes of God, and turns to their wicked ways it will not stand long. Look at the godless nations around the world that are in deep turmoil. Are we head down the same path? I think so. We have taken prayer out of school, God out of our society, where else can we go?

Good word for us today brother Wayne! Preachers all over need to get off their name it and claim it sermons and sound the alarm. Thanks for sounding the alarm brother.
