Our God has created new life through our love for each other, my husband and me. And that new life was created in me, brought out into the world and is now sustained through my body by means of God's amazing design.
To me it is such a wonderful sign of the works and blessings of God. I'm sorry if I sound kind of strange but I can't help these feelings. I'm not very good at quoting Bible passages, but I know my life would not be this blessed if I had not found this faith.

Amen! We are happy for you and your new family. God has trusted you enough to give you a little one to care for and to bring up in His ways. I only wish I could start over being a parent, I've learned so much about life the older I got. The one thing I learned late in lifeis, little ones are little sponges. They see all you do, and emulate all you do. Let them see the joy of the Lord in your life daily, so when they grow up and things don't go just right for them, they can reflect how you praised God even though adversity.
Oh, I almost forgot, pray over them daily... pray with them each night, if they are asleep lay your hand on them and pray. If you start now, it will become a habit, and you will not go to sleep without doing so.
God bless your little family. I will keep you in my prayers.
Our God has created new life through our love for each other, my husband and me.Stephanie,

I know I don't come in here much, but I wanted to post this in a place I felt was appropriate. I am so proud of you, and I know that I am just a few years older than you, but to take on such a huge task and accomplish it with more grace and civility than a lot of older mothers I've seen in my line of work at your age speaks volumes for your character and strength.
It reminds me of a quote by one of myfavorite people, Teddy Roosevelt,
"Alone of human beings the good and wise mother stands on a plane of equal honor with the bravest soldier; for she has gladly gone down to the brink of the chasm of darkness to bring back the children in whose hands rests the future of the years."
Good luck and God Bless

I don't know what to say huntingirl. Thank you so much.
By the way, I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but our baby was planned.
We both had our checkups yesterday. Miriam has gained 10 ounces and is in perfect health. So am I and I'm down to 79 pounds now on the bathroom scale. Yaaay!
Thanks again huntingirl for those kind words. God has also blessed me with a wonderful husband who treatsus bothwith incredible tenderness.

How awesome to see women of this calibre on here! You and daddyslittlegirl are certainly a breath of fresh air. I get so tired of the women with picket signs telling society to stay out of their business as if a child were one and the same with their bodies. Syephanie---yu wil be such a greta Mom, and no doubt, huntingirl, you too, when your time comes!!

I had guessed that she was planned from the way you spoke, but still your level of maturity is impressive. I had all but given up on the future of younger generations, but you have single-handidly revived my hope. So Thank You.
And Thank You manuman.
