Good Reading

Well I figured it might be nice if we started up a post with books you all have read that have something to do with Christianity. Obviously the Bible has been read by many of us, but I would love to get some more idea for inspiring reading.

Here are a few books I have read and enjoyed:
1. Blue Like Jazz by Don Miller
2. Searching For God Knows What by Don Miller
3. Bruchko - I am currently reading this book and recomend it to all! It is the biography of a man who becomes a Christian in high school, gets kicked out of his home, goes to South American and lives with Indians, teaching them about Christ. I have been so incredibly inspired by the book, what until you see what he goes through and the absolute faith he has in God, its awesome!

I've recently read Bill Drost The Pentecost and would recommend it to anyone who would like to be inspired.
The Oneness Of God by David K Bernard is a great study, as well as Doctrines of the Bible by J.L. Hall and David K Bernard. Also, the History of Christian Doctrines, Volume 1,2,and 3 . .David Bernard . . . are really great reading.

"The Truth at last" by Wilbur King. I don't know if it can be obtained anywhere today, but itis a absolute masterpeice.

I'm reading this book now.I picked it up at Walmart last week.

I didn't know anything about this guy as we watch very little TV. I enjoy hearing Jack Hayford or Charles Stanley on TV.
It didn't take long for meto figure out Joel Osteen is a prosperity preacher..I was sorry I bought the book...but last night I felt prompted to read a little and to be a little more open minded..

A heart like Jesus by Max Lucadois an awesome book. Little enough to read in a short time, but you will want to read it over and over again.. I bought 10 copy's and gave them to my children and some friends.

I like Jack Hayford too Chuck and Charles, I refuse to watch Joel Prosperity Olsteen. I did buy the book for my wife however. It was on her books to buy list. [:'(]

I agree..it was a wasted 10.00 The title drew me in.

I should of knew better.. I sought God concerning the title and the Lord spoketo my heart this morning about some areas in my life.
1st Take the bluegrass gospel out of the CD player and put in the Word of God..I did

2nd..Stop playing show off music on my guitar in the evenings and use my guitar for worship..I will

Jesus is the author and finisher of my faith..not some man..Do not buy the book..a totally waste of money..Just another fancy prosperity preacher.

Yikes..I would like to publically recant what I just said..I've never seen Joel Olstein before..until last night. I was sleeping in an Alabama motel during a hunting trip..I was bored and turned on a Christian channel.It was Joel Olstein. The man seems very sincern to me..If he's not..he's the best con artist alive. He seems to be very much annointed and preaches with a powerful spirit of love. I'm publically repenting of the statement I made toward him. He truly appears to be a man of God to me.I'm glad I still have his book..I may check it out after all.
