Default Sunda Sermonette

Good morning church..good to have you with us today and hope you receive a blessing from his precious Word..please continue to pray for the sick and the afflicted and those who are discouraged and downhearted..please pray for me as i am going through a tough time health wise..but don't feel sorry for me as God has blessed this ole man tremenously over the years..as you know i am in the twilight of my life here on earth, at 78 years old. but Praise God i know when the sun sets here the SON will rise over there..Glory to God..

Father i thank you for all you do for us and i pray your presence will be felt here today..in Jesus name i pray, Amen.

1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Proverbs 30:1-6 KJV

As i was reading this chapter, i thought boy this fits right in with this day and age..in verse 3 the writer says,"I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy..boy that one hits home doesn't it? we seek from the world wisdom, and my friends, wisdom only comes from God..oh yes we learn how to make money and succeed in the worldly scene but we do not have the wisdom to know what to do with it..as i posted in another thread, there is nothing wrong with having nice things, but we must be careful that we don't let them take the place of God or our family..that's where the wisdom of God comes in..pay our tithes and offerings and serve the Lord.. and knowledge of the holy..what is holy today? certainly not the TV. programs or most books you read..and we certainly don't act holy at times, even our thoughts are unholy..i know we don't like to hear such things but you have to admit it's true..but praise God we have a Saviour that cleanseth us from all sin, Amen.
We think that we are the maker of own destiny. This has been the problem throughout human history and we see how one man's thoughts or actions can affect not only his small area, but at times the whole known world. take Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. Their actions have affected the lives of each of us regardless of when we were born or whether we lived in their time frames or not. We can see that here on this forum..things happen and we don't understand why.. Rain, wind or the global warming have started to be understood by man, but for the non believer they are tied to theories and thoughts that take greater faith to believe than believing God created all that we see and don't see and God holds it all together by His very nature of who He is. As children of God, we must have an understanding of his Word and be willing to share without adding to or taking away of what God has for man. During this coming week we each will have opportunities before us, how will we respond and act as they come our way? Allow the Spirit of God to enlighten each of our minds and hearts and may we respond in truth and love as God has touched our lives. yes, let's talk about JESUS, give them the gospel plain and simple..who knows there may be another name written in the Book of Life because you cared..God Bless you all.

Father i thank you for you love and mercy and for your Son who went to the cross and died for our sins that we could have eternal life by believing and trusting in him..and Father if there is one here reading this may their heart be touched and this would be their day of salvation..this we pray in Jesus name and for his sake, Amen

After The Storm

Out in the world not knowing quite how to get back,
In God's hand to stay;
Then tragedy struck me and then put me here,
In a chair 'till I'm old and gray.

But Jesus has found and gave me a choice,
To live for Him every day;
He said be still and know that I'm God,
You just need to trust and obey.

There's shelter after the storm
The grave won't hold me no more
These battles are gone so I'm moving on,
There's shelter after the storm.

There'll come a time when God calls my name,
And angels will carry me home;
And I'll leave this old wheelchair outside the gates,
And run all the way to the throne.

There's shelter after the storm,
The grave won't hold me no more;
These battles are gone so I'm moving on,
There's shelter after the storm.

And these battles are gone so I'm moving on,
There's shelter after the storm.

From Proverbs, thats some powerful Scripture right there! . . . .at least, it's one of my favorites.
Bro Wayne, I'm sorry to hear that your struggling with yet more health issues. You can bet that You'll be in my prayers. I be hoping that you perk up enough to enjoy this hunting season and many more.
I see where you just bought yourself a new 30/30 Marlin. Thats a good rifle right there. I have several rifles I've bought just because folk said they were the best . . .but when I take to the wood most of the time I grab the old lever 30.
Blessings on you and yours, on your health, finances, and happiness, by the name that is above every name . . .Jesus.
