Ann Coulter on Donny Deutch show last night...
I surfed by and they were discussing religion. She commented that by becoming Christian, Jews would become "perfected." Donny (Jewish) became so offended. He was just beside himself that she had said such a thing. Saying that Jews needed to be perfected was such an insult ...
To me, this is his misunderstanding of Christianity. It was not an insult against Jews, but a statement of Christ's effect on legalism. "Perfection" is a descriptive term, not the basis for an insult. But how do you explain that?
Remember, Coulter is a polarizing figure who regularly offends liberals, and Deutch is as liberal as they come. He was probably chomping at the bit, waiting for her to say something that he could rail against. But this should not have been it, should it?
