I am writing yall to inform yall a bit about my work this year. I posted on here over the summer asking for prayer requests. The Lord has guided me to an RA position in college. I am a sophmore at Virginia Tech, and am living on a guy with 34 of the best guys. I am the only believer on the hall, and God is using me in so many ways. We have started a Bible study every tuesday night for anybody on the hall and have had a solid 10 coming every week. The name of the study is "First Impressions" and we are talking about our first impressions with Jesus Christ, and how often times first impressions are decieving, so we are trying to give these guys an accurate portrayal of who Jesus is. A couple of the guys on the hall just this past week have prayed to recieve Christ. You can tell that their hearts are being changed, and they are being pulled closer to God. I can remember just three years ago when I became a Christian and how confusing it can be, and how nervous I was to begin this relationship. I had so many questions I wanted to ask, but was afraid I would look dumb. I am here for these guys, and they have been opening up with me, and I have been able to talk to them about my past experiences and where I am today.
I ask that you all continue to pray for myself, that God would continue to use me, engaging with these young men, and that I would speak truth that the residents would take to heart.
I have been so blessed to be in this position, a wave is going to sweep across VT soon, and God will be known by many. From there, and from all other corners of the world, God will be glorified!
Excellent report. God is faithful, and whatth edevil means for our harm, He works fo rour good. VT was a target , now it is a mission field, targeted by the Lord.
