Faith....

Most people think faith and belief are the same thing. WRONG! You can believe something and not have faith in it.
A man staggers up to you he is dying of starvation. You put food in front of him, he just looks at it. You say this food will nourish you and keep you alive, Do you believe that? Yes I believe that. The man just looks at it and then he dies. Why did he die? Because he didn't eat the food. The eating of the food is faith.

Faith is acting on what you believe. Many Christians today believe the bible, they believe all of God's promises. However if they don't have faith and act on the word of God they will not receive all of Gods best that He wants them to have. If they don't have faith they will die just like our man died. They will be sick but not get God's healing. They won't have God's prosperity. They won't have God's peace and contentment. And the worst part is they will never please God without faith. Without faith you can't please God.[Hebrews 11:6]

You have to do more than just believe. You have to act on what you believe! You have to act on God's word! And that action is what faith is. The word of God works when you do what it says.

To me we are kind of splitting hairs here ..

The greek word for faith implies beleivng , relying on and abiding in..and much more..

It's real simple..when the storms of life come..you can see if you have faith or not..Faith goes down that stright and narrow road..unbeleif goes down the broad and easy road.

I haven't posted in a long time. Been busy, going to Germany soon and most likely Iraq in April.

Anywho, there is more to being saved or born again or being a Christian than JUST "not going to hell" or "fire insurance".

Too many "Christian" people are living a sick, poor, depressed, opressed, defeated, fearful, joyless, bored, and peaceless life. They believe the Bible when it says..... "To be a Christian and not perish and have everlasting life, means a True Loving Believer Of Christ and aTrue Obedient Follower OF Christ...........Amen", or "God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son......"

Why do people only believe the "Thou shalt nots" of the old covenantand John 3:16? They believe these two, speak it and have faith in them and try there hardest to live it, "BUT"who has read Isaiah 53 and 54, 2 Cor 8:9, John 16:24, and Romans 8: 31-39. I could go on and on but you should see my point. But who has read these verses and received them, believed them, trusted in them, spoke them, had faith in them enough to act on them and live them out like the other two?

A Christianslife should be Victorious because of whowe are in Jesus Christ. I do not fight against a defeated foe (sickness, poverty, depression etc, etc..). No weapon that the devil brings against me will ever prosper, because if God be for me, who can be against me. There is nothing that I can't do, because I CAN do all things with Christ that strengthens me. I can go into the devils camp "Hell" and he has to give me all that he has taken from mebecause the gates of hell shall not prevail against me. I can bind the devil and his works and loose "The Blessing"in and on my life becauseJesus will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

I have faith in this and my actions bring it to pass. I act like God is my God, that Jesus is my Lord, and that the Greater One lives on the inside of me. I know that these will happen in my life becausefaith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
