Default Sunday Sermonette

Good morning all..isn't it great to be alive and have a loving saviour, Jesus Christ? our special prayer this week is for oldone..please pray that the Doctor's can help him..and then there are others who need our prayers, God knows there needs..

Dear Father in Heaven, we do fervently pray for oldone today that you will give him strength and patience to get through this trying time..we thank you and love you in Jesus name i pray, Amen

5 I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me. Palm 142:5-7 kjv.

All too often we put God in the back seat of our lives until He is needed to help or save us from some mess we have created. have you ever done that? tried to accomplish something on your own know how and wisdom and left God out of it..well i have many a time and usually i failed.. for the believer who is really set upon the things of God, we must learn to place Him first in our lives. the bible says in Prov. 3:5-7,"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil." God must never become the second thought, but must be the first thought in all that we do. David realized this in the way he lived and we see how this is played out in his life when he has to come before God and receive his disciple. David was more than willing to receive from the Hand of God verses taking it from his fellow man. David knew that God's justice would be fair! As we walk the paths God has for us, we need to keep God at the fore front of our thoughts and actions. As we grow in Him, we will see how much life has to offer and what we can share with others as allow the Spirit of God to work within our lives. I,in my lifetime have seen miracles happen..when our children was born, that was a miracle from God and i have seen people healed from cancer through the power of prayer and well that we should praise him for all the good things He does.but that ain't the only time we should praise him..too often we wait till He answers our prayer before we praise him..right? Hey, think about it. God don't owe us nothing..He don't have to do anything to prove his greatness. the creation should be enuff proof of his power..the greatest miracle of all was when He brought us from spiritual death to spiritual life through the death of his precious Son on the old rugged cross..
I was miracleously saved 75 years ago and He has been with me all the way..oh, yes there were times when i left him but He was always a prayer away..

Do you know him as Lord and Saviour? If you were to die tonight are you 100% sure you will be in Heaven tomorrow? if you have never been born again, why not now..All you have to do is believe the gospel that being that God sent his only begotten Son to earth, to be born of a virgin, to live a sinless life, to die on the cross, and in three days to be resurrected and then to ascend into Heaven..you've read the gospel now you must repent of your sins and ask for forgiveness and ask Jesus to be Lord of your life..if you do that and really mean it, i promise you on the Word of God that He will save you..the bible says, "the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus." let him give you a miracle, the gift of salvation.. Remember because He died, we can truly live and be His hands and feet in our world.

Dear heavenly Father, thank you again for your precious Word and may it be a blessing to someone today..In Jesus name i pray, Amen..

What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Chorus

Leaning, leaning,
(Leaning on Jesus, leaning on Jesus)
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
(Leaning on Jesus, leaning on Jesus)
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Chorus

.

What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
